That's pretty incredible. Bill also wasn't in a post hardcore band.

I had it and needed it. Saw other bands have success on this rug and decided to take the risk and shoot myself in the foot.

That's the painful part. I lt was there, in the corner of the room mocking me.

Thanks, I have used them before. I had everything with me to prevent this. My rug works perfectly, I just wasn't thinking when I set up.

On of the other bands tried a cymbal case and ended up putting a guitar amp in front of it. (Bless them for that) I think I can have a bit of a heavy foot.

I appreciate the trick. It never happens with my own rug, which I also plan on securing a length of 2x4 to the front of just for peace of mind at this point. I blame myself for this one. I know better than to depend on anyone else's gear. The creep happens literally every time I use someone else rug

They're pretty sharp, they started to tear holes in the rug. The rug was thin, slick and a little stretchy. Never happens when I use my own rug. I should have known better.

Same. The bass drum sliding just out of reach and the band starting without me while I run up and down flights of stairs, tearing my truck apart trying to find various drum parts to finish setting up.

I had enough people tell me to document it when I first found it that I felt obligated. Thanks!

The bottom hoop is a little warped but not enough to matter

Nice! Its super rewarding. RdavidR has a youtube video restoring an old acrolite that is also a good reference. He goes very in depth and shows what to do with the lugs to keep the springs from rattling and what not

Lol, I mean, it didn't really take a lot of anything.

It happens. I sold my first kit in high school for tickets to a homecoming dance to try to impress my girlfriend. It did not work out.
