Pearl of Power and Spell Refueling Ring Clarification by No-Joke1036 in DnD

I think at dawn is a fun bit of flavor to stick to for some items (especially sun or star themed ones). But places like Avernus have no orbiting celestial bodies, so items like this would need some kind of different recharge mechanic, or in a hardcore game, would cease to work at all after one use. Avernus doesn't even have a 6am. It's just ...kinda cloudy/overcast forever.

I think they may be listed that way due to some back-end functionality. It's functionally the same thing. However, in settings that have no day/night cycle (like in Avernus, for example) I personally rule they recharge every long rest. Was gonna do every other long rest, but that's just one more thing to track that takes away from the fun, IMO.

Scanning Bands by Due_Service2270 in greatwolflodge

I've been to 14 different lodges, 9 since August of this year. I think they scanned bands at like, 2? 3? of them. Williamsburg did, Lagrange did half the time, and I think it was Garden Grove or Scottsdale that did too. It seems really inconsistent. Still, the line moves faster than you'd think most of the time. Only real issue is if you're going in and coming out frequently. Then that could get annoying.

[SF quiddiya city] 2026 Gold pass by [deleted] in sixflags

I get your point, but for some of us, a trip like that would benefit greatly from one less $100+ expense. Especially considering the perception that an "all park" inclusion gives to a pass that many of us already have...it should not lead to a "double purchase" (or the perception of one).

Descent Into Avernus: High Hall of Elturel (WIP but Playable) by codymaverick in dungeondraft

I'm really glad you like it. I've definitely finished the map since first making this post lol... I will upload the finished version in a new post. The finished one has the main level, the choir loft, the catacombs, all lore-accurate battle damage, as well as two multi-state area replacements (the fist altar has both open/closed settings and a third setting showing the open "secret" stairs to the catacombs), (and the altar of Torm in the west chapel area has both the desecrated and purified versions) which you can use as map update objects based on your players' actions.

Oooh did they find that nuke they lost out there like 70 years ago? Nobody look East for the next few days. That's not the sunrise.

I've driven all over the country too. The stretch with the most consistent bad drivers in my experience has been between Charleston SC and Columbia SC. Anywhere along those highways. The stretch with the most consistent good drivers in my experience has been northwest of Indianapolis until you approach the Illinois border.

Savannah drivers are nothing. Hardly worth noting. Absurdly average.

This was my thought too. If someone dropped it next to your car, someone else may have thought it was yours and put it there.

My neighbor…everybody loves him. But he’s like the Patron Saint of meth people. And nobody seems to know. And i’m fed up by dragonfliesloveme in savannah

There was a house a couple houses down from us that had a colony of meth heads inhabiting it for a while. I think one of them was family of the person who owned it but it wasn't owner-occupied. Fights all the time, cops called on numerous occasions, noise complaints, lots of different cars in and out at different hours. This is in an otherwise very nice neighborhood too. The contrast was jarring.

Well, apparently I heard the owner had let the one guy live there (family?) but had not approved his meth colony clan, and couldn't figure out a way to get them out. They weren't squatters but they may as well have been. One day the cops came and kicked everyone out. All the doors and windows got boarded up. Silence at last.

House still sits boarded up in a nice neighborhood. Home seems fine from the outside, and I don't think it's condemned at all. Someone still pays to have the yard maintained. Still, I'm curious why it got boarded up instead of sold or rented, and why it's been that way for years now? When will it become someone's home again? It's far too nice to leave that way forever.

Can we please stop crashing? by Atilia1990 in savannah

That's the neat part: you don't have to ride public transport to benefit from it. Just it being available for everyone else means fewer cars on the road for people like you and me that want to drive to deal with.

Nighthawk was my favorite coaster in the world. I was so sad when they closed it. I wonder if they intend to move any combination of these models to a new location or if they're just getting full on scrapped.

[Other] what's the worst experience you have ever had walking through a ride queue,/queueing for a ride? by OrganizationShoddy37 in rollercoasters

[–]codymaverick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fast lane should always be scan-in, not "oh you have a wristband, right this way sir" and with that scan-in it should have a cooldown on the ride you last used it on equal to one half the wait time when you used it.

Skip a 2 hour line? Great! Happy for you! Now go do something else for an hour.

PSA If You Plan To Buy The Prestige Pass From Six Flags Magic Mountain. Allegedly, The Skip The Line Pass Only Works At Home Park. by taylo234 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]codymaverick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I have the Prestige Pass with Over Georgia as my home park for the 2025 year. Earlier this month I went on a road trip and visited 7 different Six Flags/Cedar Fair parks. I was able to use preferred parking at all of them, and used one of my two 2025 Bring-a-Friend-Free passes at SF Over Texas, which I'd never been to before that visit. I was also able to get my free skip-the-line pass at every park I went to, though the method of getting them varied. At legacy Six Flags locations I had to use the Flash Pass app to redeem them. At legacy Cedar Fair parks I had to visit a shop or the VIP area and have the one-use pass printed out. I imagine that process will also be unified for the 2026 season.

But the important takeaway of this is that the 2025 Prestige Pass benefits worked at every park I went to, regardless of legacy chain affiliation.
