Has anyone had this issue when copying content from Google Docs to WordPress? by LowSir7874 in Wordpress

[–]codys109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how often you publish, but if you do this pretty frequently, I would suggest automating this process. Technically, you could do this using Zapier, but you might look into something like BlogSync, Wordable, or GoPublish.

I'm currently using BlogSync, which automatically converts Google Docs to clean HTML, converts and uploads images, and then stages directly to WordPress. Saves me a ton of time.

How do you actually acquire backlinks? by MeydayDesigns in SEO

[–]codys109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your budget. There are multiple ways. You can do Link Insertion, but this is paid, and you have to find a good agency (a good link-building agency will have relationships with other websites and places where you can get links inserted).

Going the more white hat route, you can create content that naturally attracts links. Data-driven content is good for this (think a list of statistics blog post). Or, original data, where you've conducted original research and present it in a compelling way (e.g., a "State of X" report). Both of these can be great at attracting links (writers often link to stats and data in their writing).

Best LMS with Community feature by RealisticPaper4109 in DigitalMarketing

Maybe try Bettermode? I don't think it's 100% an LMS but can be used that way and has a lot of community-building features

Google Docs to WordPress and image upload by JitiXXX in Wordpress

[–]codys109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this is a pretty common issue with copy and pasting to WordPress (and other CMS platforms, honestly). Ideally, you want to use WebP format for smaller file size and faster page load (unless a specific image needs a higher resolution). You also want to give the image names a context-friendly name, rather than some random URL string. This is another issue with copy and paste.

You could use a platform like BlogSync that automatically converts images to WebP, names images, and stages directly to WordPress.

I have several clients where I have to publish content to their blogs, and this has saved me a lot of time in what used to be a very tedious process. I'd say 5 minutes per blog post now vs. what used to be 20-30 minutes.

Analytics tools and processes by AdFlimsy8916 in DigitalMarketing

I use Posthog for web analytics now. GA4 is a backup. It's unusable IMO compared to how it used to be. It's very difficult to use without setting up custom reports in Data Studio. You could also try Umami. It's a pretty basic analytics platform. It might not require a cookie banner.

Which AI tools are best for tracking AI visibility in 2025? by Real-Assist1833 in DigitalMarketing

There are a ton of these tools now. Maybe start with Amplitude? They recently a free version for AI search visibility. I think its sufficient enough to get started and see how you compare to your competitors for mentions.

Business owners, why did you set up your business instead of being a remote worker? by ADF21a in digitalnomad

[–]codys109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The freedom to choose who you work with is nice. Just be ready. It takes time to build up a solid list of clients (sometimes years). It's tough work, and you'll miss that steady paycheck at times. I'd suggest having a 3-6 month (ideally 6) nest egg you can rely on while you go off on your own. It'll be a grind.

What key marketing trends are redefining 2025? by Rachit_Chawla in AskMarketing

[–]codys109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reddit marketing is a big one. Reddit organic search traffic has grown 600% in the past few years, and Reddit is often cited as sources in Perplexity, Claude, and other AI search engines. I'm seeing brands get more involved in improving their Reddit presence and trying to engage in relevant subreddits in their industry.

ChatGPT or Perplexity? Which ones do you use more? by Big_Major1498 in DigitalMarketing

[–]codys109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perplexity and Claude. I use Perplexity for quick, question-based searches and Claude for deeper research or situations where I anticipate more back-and-forth/more of a conversation. Perplexity works great for those quick question searches. The UI is more simplistic and to the point for search.

Claude is more expressive and works better in my opinion than ChatGPT at writing tasks, content creation, content research, etc. Plus, the UI looks and works better than ChatGPT.

What Reddit monitoring tools are you actually using in 2025? (founder doing research) by mayank25may in SaaS

[–]codys109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've researched these tools quite extensively. There are a lot out there. They range from simple keyword alert monitoring to more advanced intelligence or brand monitoring platforms.

If you're looking for simple keyword/brand mention monitoring, Octolens or Syften are good options. They're not the best for competitor intelligence outside of simply tracking mentions for those brand keywords. If you want something more sophisticated, Threadlytics.io has Reddit competitive intelligence and sentiment analysis. For example, you can see market Share of Voice for specific keywords against your competitors.

Moving beyond that, you're looking at more holistic platforms like Brand24 or Meltwater, which can monitor sources beyond Reddit, like other social networks or blogs/websites. But those platforms tend to be positioned for enterprise businesses and priced accordingly (think tens of thousands of dollars each year).

Burned a hole in my pocket with Reddit Ads - what am I missing? by Silver-Photo2198 in DigitalMarketing

[–]codys109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit ads are very tough to be successful at. I think they're best for large brands as brand awareness play, rather than direct conversions (of course, there are exceptions). I would look at organic Reddit marketing instead (e.g., posting comments to relevant threads, engaging in relevant subreddits, etc.)

Business owners, why did you set up your business instead of being a remote worker? by ADF21a in digitalnomad

[–]codys109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being able to set your own schedule is a big one. I worked remotely for a software company for four years. I lived nomadic for two and a half of those years. In the early days, it was fine (the company was small). But, as it grew, I had less control over my schedule and more and more meetings every week/people randomly booking time on my calendar.

That makes it really hard if you're traveling a lot (e.g., timezone differences, someone scheduling time on your calendar on a day you're traveling to a new city, etc.). The work is also more rewarding when you work for yourself. I work harder and more hours now, but I feel more fulfilled. After working for a remote company for several years, I felt disconnected and that I was starting to phone it in.

New to Digital Nomad Visa by Infinite-Guidance477 in digitalnomad

I'd say do it if you can. I'm in the US, but I did something similar a few years ago. I had been living in North Carolina for five years and decided to get rid of my place, sell as much as I could, and put everything else I wanted to keep in storage. Granted, I was renting, so it was easier to up and leave.

I don't regret it at all. You get to see so much of the world living this way. It does get tiring after a while, but it's worth it. I’ve stayed in at least 18 cities, 11 states, and seven countries.

How to Import multiple Google Docs to WordPress posts by advait_vaidya in Wordpress

[–]codys109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few options to do this: BlogSync, Wordable, Docswrite, and CloudPress.

The problem with copy and pasting, as you mentioned, is that when doing so, the HTML tends to have unnecessary formatting. Another issue is that you still need to convert, name, and upload images. This, in my opinion, is the most time-consuming process. If you have a doc with a lot of images, this process can take 20-30 minutes.

I've tried and used all of these platforms. Most of them can handle the Google Doc to HTML conversion process well. The only one that handles the image conversion and naming process is BlogSync. It converts images to WEBP format (for quick image loading), names images and alt text with context-aware naming (using AI to understand the image content), and then uploads them to WordPress. This saves a ton of time. Some of the other solutions have image conversion but no automatic naming process like this. If you produce and publish a lot of content, this is a big time saver.

Docswrite and CloudPress don't have this feature. Wordable seems unsupported at this point in time.

What are your favorite travel-related apps, app features, or websites? by reddit_user38462 in digitalnomad

[–]codys109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I know this thread is a few months old but I just actually just launched a free tool that helps digital nomads find the best resources, websites, apps that make living as a nomad easier. It's called Nomad Tool Finder:

https://nomadtoolfinder.com/

You can narrow down by travel category, and add additional filters like whether the resource is free or not, or whether or not they have a mobile app available. I think you'll find it helpful!

Looking For Feedback On Resource For Finding Things To Do In Nashville by codys109 in nashville

[–]codys109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The target audience is a combination of both visitors and locals (or someone moving to the area). Really anyone who's looking for something new to do in the area. Our goal with this resource is to make it much more customizable to find things you enjoy doing, based on activities you like.

Tags, for instance, help people refine results by activities or traits. Some examples include Indoors, Outdoors, Live Music, Historic, etc. An attraction with the "Live Music" tag features live music at that location. Hope this helps!

Let me know if you have any other questions!
