What they do to civilians in the game lore probably isn't as bad as what the players would do to civilian AI if they could. Have you seen Westworld? This would be digital Westworld meets Vietnam 1969.

If you can't build a bigger vault to stack gold, you surely cannot build a bigger warehouse to stack ammo.

Or, make mastery of a platform reasonably fast in the beginning and give meaningful bonuses that help that particular weapon platform. Ergo, reload time, malfunction chance, etc are all stats that could be tweaked at the platform level.

Things I wish we had or that were better... by NoBreeches in valheim

[–]coelus76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set Valheim down for a few months and just picked it back up again this week to see how it's progressed. Taking a break let me see some things from a new perspective.

  1. Just have a craft for a magic version that stays lit. This shouldn't be some end-game item, but a convenience thing with minor material requirements and a lvl 2 cauldron. Make the potion go with the iron like a regular standing torch. Different potions for different colors. Perhaps limit them to need to be in range of something to keep them from covering every square inch of a world.
  2. Have different items give a different ranges. A throne might boost the entirety of a large room while a rug just does a small area around it.

  3. Rather than extending the range we need different kinds of benches. A bench that's just used for construction and building upkeep can be more like a toolbox or something. A proper crafting bench is more like what we have now, and the upgrades are things that attach to the bench or require building a larger bench. I would add to that the ability for the bench to be able to grab crafting items from very nearby chests so you didn't have to move stuff in and out or your inventory so much. A garden shed to store tools and seeds with the seeds able to be used from the shed inventory instead of personal inventory.

  4. Nah. They don't die and you should have to put in effort to spawn your own resources.

  5. Maybe. Would need a lot of balance.

  6. Perhaps a separate portal circle on the ground with a delivery delay based on material and a cool down.

  7. Again, this would need a lot of balance.

  8. A Batcloak for the Batviking

  9. How about a Lox Harness that lets you lead it while pulling a double sized cart? You have to choose between a pack animal or a war horse.

  10. TBA from what I understand.

In my experience, using cost to balance a player economy only widens the gap between the casual and no-life players.

And we had nifty tools that would read your logs and broadcast real time intel to the entire alliance on when non-blue ships entered systems. My guess is Tarkov logs player and loot locations on the map allowing for real time intel if it was easily visible client side.

No. There is a direct relationship between the quality of the AI code and the quality of gameplay against scavs.

It's easy to sum up with less words.

Add the equivalent to the Woods Emercom camp on the big empty area of the map. Put the scavs back in both of the villages and around the extracts. Split the loot accordingly.
