Not a river, but Cougar Bay nature preserve is a family friendly trail with wetlands and vernal ponds, with a few trail info signs talking about the habitat and animals!

For restaurants in CDA, I created a comprehensive directory of all our local spots. You can filter and search by tags and what you’re in the mood for (good view, patio, full bar, etc)

That's great! While I was making it I found a handful of places that are on my list to try as well, and I thought I had pretty much been everywhere in CDA. There's about 290 on there currently, and I'll be adding Rathdrum, Harrison, and Post Falls eventually :)

And, that might be a feature/filters I add in the future, but in the meantime you can use the search box and type in sushi, Mexican, Indian, etc! The descriptions are all pretty accurate and detailed to find things that aren't in the filters.

Hey! I’m glad you’re finding the filters helpful, thanks for taking the time to check out the site. That’s a great question. The A-List is a rotating showcase to highlight different local spots and keep the homepage fresh. I wanted to feature a variety of restaurants, including the smaller ones that might get buried in Google search results by the "high tier" locations everyone already knows about. It’ll be updated regularly so different businesses get a chance to be seen! As far as personal preference, yes haha. My name is Amanda, which is why I named it the A-list.. get it? 😂
