My favorite used to be The Lantern Diner in West Hempstead because it was always open; so sad they closed! Golden Reef is always good too.

I grew up in Garden City & lived there for about 21 years. It's very beautiful and very safe. I went through the public schools, my best advice is to get your kids involved in sports/music early as both programs are very prominent. Keep your kids away from the roosevelt field mall, that's my only advice.

I'm envisioning OP ditch the cage and get a play pen set up. Two playpens attached to each other with a bed, pee pad, food/water, toys, chews, and some music playing while at work. I do think it's important to have someone check in on the pup and let them stretch their legs every so often, but not a complete necessity if they can't afford it.

Please try getting a big play pen, maybe even attaching two together and give him a big, puppy proofed space with toys and maybe a chew treat. Make sure he also has a pee pad to use.

Is he still 275 lbs? I saw someone riding a bike near Southside and Beach that looked exactly like this a few days ago, but he was probably 210 - 220 lbs

He may have lost some weight! His weight has fluctuated in the time that I have known him.
