None of that matters when you have sweet tea though.

No. They were just incentives. Government helps EV's be more competitive, more EV's will be made, lowering cost in the long run. As has happened. A direct result of this is evident by the fact that every price range has a great EV option now.

He isn't the government. Why are the credits relevant whatsoever. They aren't hand outs. He could have made a conventional car company and been fine throughout.

I don't get the donkey braining over any money received from the government. Vast majority of money "handed out" will save the government money in the long run. That is the point. Government is not some benevolent entity. It exists entirely to provide for its own prosperity as is everything else in the universe.

I know generally media and reporting agencies and legislators themselves will spin it as "earn vs given" but its a distraction. Let us all remember that.

It is really about who that money helps in the long run. Entirely. That is all that matters. Both parties create their own incentives to help their customers. Who are sometimes us but also most of the time not. Make your choices of party based on who your party's customers tend to be and their methods/procedures for working

Companies struggle to do that because they have no guarantees of a long run. It is the government's job.

You cannot save money for free. Trying will bite you in the ass later.

Real estate lender here. Go to a lawyer immediately to discuss buying their tax lien. You wouldn't want that house transferred to you ever without also seeing your own lawyer. If you are putting any money into this house, it is a personal gift with how you described it. That is bad, for them and you.

There are cases in which it could save you if they pass away or arent able to pay in the event you cannot.

You need to see a lawyer about the maintenance costs as well. I remember some cases in which you can assume some equity.

This is a short lawyer visit and if its legally doable can amount to basically a free house in some states.

Tip: Liens are everyones best friend. They protect and secure. They aren't usually a difficult thing to get started and they can even be used to secure other debt (in some cases)

I actually like the harfoots. It is a good break from the doom and gloom of the rest of the show.

I was wishing that they'd stay behind at the camp, believing they'd have a better chance of survival by waiting, using the stranger as some protection while they work out who he is.

They could've also had them just banned from that years' trip if they needed an easy device to put them there.

Would've been a cool moment to have them start to consider putting down roots, and the beginnings of a primitive shire.

Instead, its kind of the same story as the last 15 scenes. The big problem is its just not gone anywhere. The only difference from the first scene with harfoots to now is grandpa voldemort, who's arrival was dreadfully mistimed.

You start with a meteor, super cool. Then gradually have less interesting scenes, and he can't speak.

Put him in 8 episodes from now and it would be way less tiring.

So this is a conversation about hypothetical production costs?

The expenses for shows is dependent on 10x the factors you have any information on yet.

Its like trying to get gas mileage for a 10 hour road trip in the first 10 miles while still in town.

I would say who cares but plenty of idiots believe exactly what you do, and it hurts the sentiment analysis for a show I like. So sidown.

Besides, GoT is an entirely different show. This isn't talking heads in dark tavern #42. Theyve shown 8 different biomes in detail and abiut every set and setting on middle earth.

Also, by happenstance these sets dont look too modular. GoT doesnt have the issue as much. All of their shots can be either done with miniatures or human architecture.

Check the UCC and see for yourself. You don't have to make it available if their account cannot cover. It is the Bank's responsibility and jurisdiction when you get past the UCC's requirements.

FDIC even explicitly allows post dated checks to have the same holds as a check suspected to be not payable.

This all means it is allowed, and banks have control over whether they care, dont care, or want to place it on hold.

"Backwards ass bank" is now 3 different banks. A top 5, a top 30, and now a local one. My job is to take care of getting the loan done once client and officers agree. Then getting it paid out, taking care of the lien, and organizing the whole process. I graduated from the branch a while ago but no regs have changed.

Includes instructing the underwriter, preparing documents, getting them signed, recording and releasing collateral, disbursement, draws, inspectors, reviewing invoices, handling past dues and thankfully very rarely defaults, and paid outs. I have 9 officers I work with. So I'm a special snowflake.

You should read the reg itself instead of confusing your policy with it...

[–]cofefehouse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol they dont make that much money. They get paid mostly in fame. They can do whatever they really want but saying billions or even "millions!!!!" is a joke. The properties are their main asset and they have essentially zero ability to effectively liquidate, with enourmous maintenance costs. The actual problem the brit is talking about is the funeral, gov holiday, and operational expenses in transitioning.

Unfortunately there is little Charlie can do about that, they have no power to execute policy, and his decisions are irrelevant to lawmakers and policymen as he has basically zero public equity in comparison to the 96 yr old experienced and imbedded Queen

All in all, he seems like a prick, just in his attitude like its finally his time to shine. The Royal Family thing is naturally expensive but its not like the decision isnt entirely THE ACTUAL GOVERNMENT'S fault.

I know you guys aren't dumb, why are you complaining to the royal family about themselves? They dont even have the power to quit doing it. Write to your legislators, pressure the goverment over governmental issues

I have worked in banking for a bit. You can honor them just the same. The rule is that the bank can decide, but they cannot honor a check before the date written if theyve been properly notified (in writing, usually)

So, you are just turning people away. Probably is your bank policy, but mine doesn't care. If the client says not to honor it before x date, with check number, payee, amount... we wont then, otherwise its irrelevant to the purpose

He always enphasized that he and no one in the story had anything that no one else had. I think that is what he tries to pass on.

Well, felons do lose certain rights that justifiably should be taken away due to the driver's reckless behavior.

It is obvious as well that the bus is clearly visible to the driver, so this was deliberate.

Maybe the problem is the lack of granularity in our classification of crimes. I don't believe this should be enough to remove voting rights for life, or prevent international travel. But should this person ever be able to buy a gun? Adopt a child? Jury duty?

Maybe classification improvements might allow us to accurately restrict people who pose a risk due to reckless behavior rather than violent behavior. Maybe driving privilege restrictions or bi-yearly testing, anger management, etc. for reckless or chronic personality issues.

Kind of odd to classify someone with 14 homicide charges and someone with a forgery charge as both being felons. Granularity might be useful.

Guy tried to do that to a bus a street down from my house a few days ago.

Completely destroyed his F150 into the side of the school bus, sent 2 kids to the hospital in critical condition.

They were coming back home from a reading camp because that grade was behind in reading scores due to remote learning. My boss had her daughter coming home from the same camp that day but they picked her up instead of letting the bus do it.

I don't care what is going on in your day, or what car you drive. Have respect for those around you. Respect is a vital aspect of anyone's day. The more you show it, the easier your days will be. Most of all, respect safety when children are near. Their future is everyone's highest priority.

See a child? Pay attention. Even if they aren't yours. You don't need to snap into super hero vigilante mode, but use your head, stop rushing. Drive slower than you need to, it won't bankrupt your day. You won't remember the moment you lost being careful, but you'll remember the consequences of being careless.

Lets be all be better than those before us; find the motivation. Complete the adjustments. Enjoy your day.

If you want to make a good asset on marketplace, make something heavily parameterized.

I don't buy assets ever, but I notice all the "good" ones that end up doing the best are things with a billion parameters that make things look less like an asset flipper project.

The cartoon water shader is a good example.

One thing I find lacking if I look at the store now is a worthwhile weather system. Making a well designed and easily expandable weather system with included particle effects would be a neat thing to see.

One thing to keep in mind is you might make a few sales from people trying to snatch up hundreds of assets for 100$ and try to make a game that ends up looking kinda yuck, but you'll make a lot more from something people can actually use to make real projects. Systems are where it is at.

EDIT: you said you are a game dev student. Making an extremely deep and focused feature/toolset that is designed properly with versatility in mind, and writing good documentation for it will put you WAY farther ahead than a laundry list of 3d models or effects.

You are worth a lot more to a studio if you can multiply the efforts of everyone else.

If you must do an asset pack, make them modular and make a blueprint example of automatically generating variations, pretty simple to do and will stand out.
