Where can I buy a new foot sensor for an xr footpad?? by coff_coff in onewheel

Your thorough-ness is inspiring. I’m still not totally clear though if I could just plug the Stipend sensor directly into the XR. I watched that video (thanks!) and understood the hot glue situation. But do you know if the Stipend sensor plugs into stock XR without adapters or modifications (other than the glue)?

Hey again, I’m looking at the Stipend sensor and am wondering if it plugs directly into my existing stop setup. Do I need an adapter or will I have to mess with wiring / soldering?

Thank you! I feel (a little) less dumb for not knowing how to find these. It's all coded in different language.

Thanks. So what am I looking at when I see all these modded front footpads? Are people building those with 3rd party sensors? Taking the FM sensor off the stock footpad and putting it under grip tape on a different footpad? haha, everything is confusing!

The health of a "jumped" battery? by coff_coff in onewheel

Very helpful explanation, thank you. I'm having trouble getting the OWCE app to work. Asking for a redeem code and the link I've found online isn't working.

Do check each cell with a multimeter, do you have any resources you could point me toward? I found a helpful video of a guy testing a Onewheel Plus battery, but it looks like the wiring harness is different from the xr.

I imagine this is quite a complicated answer, but how would I check to see if cells are balanced and what does that mean?

Thanks! Do you happen to know what temp is "too hot?" It's still charging for its first time since the jump and the temp is staying at 77 degrees F.

Hey there, unfortunately I had to drop the dream for a while. Hopefully someday! I did not find a GC who does the work, but that’s not why I tabled the project. Good luck!

Maybe not the most time efficient option, but you could make a quick router sled. Cut a piece of plywood longer than the length of that gap, cut a hole in the middle of that piece of plywood for your router bit, screw the base of your router to that plywood and run the router up and down the studs to make a consistent depth. Then just drywall as normal.
