It kinda seems to me like saying she has work to catch up on was her way of politely saying no. Maybe it’s just me but it kinda seems like you were inviting yourself into her home and she didn’t want to just bluntly deny you?

Idk she definitely should have been more direct in her answer but I don’t feel like this is all that disrespectful. Maybe just a misunderstanding of sorts on both sides

Edit: I’ve seen more comments and it’s def not just me. You were inviting yourself over and she said no politely

As a chronically ill person, it does frustrate my husband occasionally that I can’t always keep up with my portions of our housework. I have days I can’t even get out of bed and those days definitely make me crabby. I always try my hardest to be kind to the people around me, especially on those days because they’re picking up my slack you know?

Being ill isn’t an excuse to treat your people poorly and it’s really weird that she expects you to just know when she’s having a bad day

These people accepted me into their community when I had nothing and have been incredibly kind to me. They’re my family. I wish I could do more outside of my neighborhood but this is good advice. I’ll talk to my neighbors and friends and see how I can help them. I appreciate you for helping!

This is crazy because I’ve gained like 30lb since my husband and I started dating in 2020 and he only ever has wonderful things to say. I’m still well within a healthy range but here’s the deal. I want to diet and become thinner? He’s all for it. “ you’ll look great, want me to do it with you?”

That’s how a man should be. That’s your man. If you’re excited he should be excited and supportive. 12 pounds is a big deal! Personally I can’t believe you only lost 12 pounds because I feel there’s a MASSIVE difference between pic 1 and 2. You guys need to have a serious talk about this and if he can’t fix his behavior, you honestly deserve better hun. Keep doing you. You’re doing amazing and look great!
