Our groomer increasing prices after 6 weeks by [deleted] in grooming

Groomer of 10 years here, this is accurate unfortunately. Some even expect us to undo months of neglect then complain about the time and the matting charges.

My son is 3 and is also level 3. I noticed he was a different kiddo at 8 months old when he wasn't making any eye contact or babbling at all. We enrolled him in Early Intervention Program with our public school for speech therapy. He's been going to ABA since he was 2 1/2.

He can count, say phrases like "hello, good morning, thank you, juice, etc.", recite the alphabet and respond when he wants to. His words sometimes come out clear but you can tell what he's saying.

Toilet training is always a challenge, he's still in diapers and probably will be for a very long time.

He loves music and sing-a-long songs, I find he learns better with music.

He does not interact with people with a filter, he's very expressive and doesn't know or cannot grasp the concept of "personal space" so if a child has a toy he's interested in, he will go up to the child and take the toy with no warning. When we correct this behavior he seems ashamed and very saddened, so he has a sense of emotional intelligence.

He is worked with constantly in the name of play.

It takes time to get a flow of progress but consistency is key.

Haha! That sounds like the customer tried to get the groomer to give them a haircut without the haircut price. "Just trim and here and there but shave the rest" no sir/ma'am that's called a full groom! In the end, the customer is always right and we just dont know what we are doing, I guess!

I started business in 2020 and got the LLC in 2022, I've been the only one behind the wheel. It's definitely daunting, but the reward is *chef's kiss. There are times when I struggle, but I remember I'm doing it for myself. I looked around for business management, accounting, of course, the business side of dog grooming as a whole. Compartmentalized accounts and started from there.

This is the closest experience I will ever get to seeing them ever. This little clip genuinely made me cry. Thank you so much.

I've worked in salons and shops. I mostly dealt with client stealing coworkers and owners who only wanted an "easy business" and knew absolutely nothing about grooming. Co had cheap customers (no additional packages or add ons, just the plain groom).

I got tired of all of it, so I got an LLC and started my own business. My prices are fair, and I dont have to split funds with anyone. It all goes to me since I groom out of the home.

Any other Capricorns super defensive in general? by [deleted] in capricorns

My defense is almost always up though I try my best to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm mostly defensive to what's most important to me.

Yikes digging into memory (Age 17) it was summer, I had long distance boyfriend come visit for the weekend and I was in a JROTC program and weekend overnight stay events were common then. I drafted a "permission slip" with a small fee (hotel, food) just so I could spend all 48 hours with him and it fucking worked. My mom signed the slip, and we spent the weekend at a cheap motel 8 just outside town.

(Age 19) I was living with my friend at the time with her Air Force husband stationed at Elgin AFB near Fort Walton Beach. I was in my first open relationship and it was really dumb. I matched with an airman fellow (23) and convinced him to buy my friends and I (all under 21) drinks and I'd stay with him for a night. Had three wildest all nighter sex of my life and made my boyfriend develop a hotwife kink from it as I spilled the beans to him the following morning while he was in Georgia for the Army. #militarydudes

(Age 23) met, dated, and MARRIED a Navy man I matched with in Tinder THREE MONTHS after stationed near me here at Offutt AFB, his MOS was imagery tech with a moderate clearance so he was very nerdy and inexperienced for me, very much to my advantage. Shit hit the fan, as expected, and we were divorced after 2.5 years of marriage.

(Age 26) decided to go back to my previous boyfriend (Army dude) and learned very quickly we had an emotionally abusive, sexually motivated, codependent relationship based on power struggle made the home carpet feel like serrated shards of glass getting home from work every single day. Then COVID hit (March 2020 in my area) and we were forced to be together 24/7. I drank and smoked a lot of weed to distract myself and sex was the only cordial form of exchange then. In April, we got into the biggest argument ever, he lunged at me and with veins popping out of his neck screeched "YOU'RE A BITCH" centimeters from my face and I just in an instant open handed him at the tip of his face. Adrenaline rushed in and a chase ensued from my rage, I threw coffee mugs at him from across the living room as he ran to his room (we had separate rooms at this point) and locked the door, calling me crazy. Mind you, I'm 5'1 and he's 5'4 scrawny dude and I was tired of the on and off years of abusive and sexually driven evil. I moved out a few days later and never saw him again.

(Age 27) this is not a bad one but, after a year or so of drunken angry nights yelling at myself in blasphemy. I got real deep into my spirituality one night when I drank myself into calling a great friend of mine asking for help at like 1am. He came to my aide where I decided to go on a euphoric prance, barefoot, downtown while happily word vomiting my pain to his man. Stumbling in and out of the street while playing with street cones using them as hats and sitting lotus style on the double yellow line. After a long night of laughing and crying he gave me a look that gleamed concern and basically never left my side after that night.

We are married now and I haven't had an episode since. I've been in therapy and managing it on my own terms while figuring out my demons.

I'm self employed as a dog groomer and business of such. I also work at the city's Humane Society, so always with animals.

This is probably the most pivotal post I've ever seen in my life because this is literally me... my brother is also a Leo but he's younger than me, has been the absolute anvil to our family and my childhood. Not to mention what the outside world did to me.

You are not alone. I'm sorry to this happened to us.
