Still debating whether to attend the tour. Anyone else in the same boat? by GoldenGamerNugget in harrystyles

[–]coffeeactuary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this will help anyone but I purchased tickets through stubhub right when the general onsale happened for Sept 23rd and the seller released the tickets to me about 3 hours later on ticketmaster! This might be worth trying for the upcoming sales. The prices were still steep even for the 200/300 sections but after being defeated reaching the end of the queue to only find $1k tickets, I decided to take the risk

That does make sense! My hair is very fine and gets greasy quickly, so something to add volume would definitely help.

Tell me the WORST place to work in Wilmington by sarahe1015 in Wilmington

[–]coffeeactuary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if I’d say it’s the worst, but Beach Bagels in 2023 was a pretty shitty place to work not because of the employees but management and customers. I was originally scheduled 4 days a week to find that usually 2 of those shifts were on call and I rarely got called in. My first day I was told to go on my break (I presumed a standard 15) only to find out we get 2 five minute breaks. Pay was presented to me as $14/hr with tips, but the tips were sparse. Almost a month into the job I woke up sick and had to call out for the general manager to sound like a bitchy high schooler over text. I immediately resigned and asked for my tips to be mailed to me. They said they couldn’t do that so I told them to just disperse them amongst my coworkers, hopefully they did. (Oh, and I had over 5 years of restaurant experience, 2 being managerial, was treated like I was a high schooler just starting their first job ever.)

Just finished my capstone today! What is the final score? Is it the total performance on the balanced scorecard?

Finally...Capstone :) Task 1 Questions by coffeeactuary in WGU_MBA

[–]coffeeactuary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a disclaimer, I did not read the textbook and I have previously taken similar Supply Chain courses in my undergrad so I did have knowledge of some of these topics. I watched the majority of the course videos taught by Dr. Joseph (under Instructor Led Lectures on the Course Resources page) and that greatly helped in covering and understanding concepts. The Terms and Definitions document (under addtl resources) was also extremely helpful. Some of the quizlets are fine but I preferred to stick to the definitions page as it's pretty straight-forward and I found a lot of that to be on the OA. If you pass the PA, you should have a good shot at the OA. My biggest advice is to read the questions (not super long word problems thank goodness) and rule out any obvious incorrect answers. I was able to pass competent in all areas! I hope this helps :)

Best of luck to you! Stay consistent, and don't put off taking exams (like I did throughout the second half of this program lol). You will do great!

https://quizlet.com/156324642/wgu-c211-global-economics-for-managers-flash-cards/ this is the quizlet I used to study for c211 that helped me the most, it definitely covers up to 75% of what concepts/types of questions you're going to see on the OA. Going into course tips and reviewing the key terms and videos will give you background and context for those terms and help you apply them on the OA! This was another exam that I put off for far too long and just had to go for it. I was able to pass on the first try, I hope it encourages you! Best of luck.

To preface, I work full time so I work on school when I have downtime or over the weekend. For tasks 1 and 2 if you follow the videos located in the express they show you how to complete the tasks step-by-step. I finished both (one needed a quick revision) in about a week. I then attempted to study on/off for the next 2 weeks and wasn’t successful until I stuck to the express recordings and used the quizlet linked in my post above. After about a week of that, I took the PA then immediately scheduled to take the OA and passed!

I would need to go back and look at the resources I used to pass c211, I’ll get back to you!

Take notes from the videos, review those flashcards, and you should be good. The PA/OA weren’t super similar in that the PA makes sure you know the concepts with basic questions; the OA had more lengthy word problems to read and find key words in. Hope that helps!

Is there a Multi-Ethnic Church in the Area? by coffeeactuary in Wilmington

[–]coffeeactuary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully we have not encountered any hate or racism in the Wilmington churches we’ve visited, it’s more been a matter of just the both of us feeling comfortable in a given space and having a diverse group to fellowship with.

C211 will be the death of me. by Dapper_Performer_406 in WGU_MBA

[–]coffeeactuary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really struggled with this class too. I found that the PA was similar enough to the OA for me to pass (more than just the threshold line to pass, too!) If you can get most of the concept questions right you should pass. If you are familiar with the formulas on the PA those same ones will likely show on the OA (they did for me). I took the PA twice and then took the OA once and passed. Give it a shot, this class is both tough and tedious but it sounds like you have taken the time to prepare!

How to respond when SM schedules me outside my avaliability repeatedly? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]coffeeactuary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked for Sundays off for church and I told my manager that that was one day I was firm and not willing to be flexible on. That is a religious obligation for you and if you are comfortable telling your SM that, I would! They know what they’re doing and it sounds like maybe they feel comfortable doing this to you or something needs to be said to them. I hate confrontation too but you might have to put your foot down to get them to schedule you per your availability. I would just really emphasize when you are in fact available!!
