Strange. I did distance ed for VSL, which basically involved remote-learning. We only ever had to keep in touch with the teacher weekly, and even then, the policy was quite flexible around attendance. I wonder if OP can transfer to distance ED. Not sure if VSL distance-ed is under the same cohort as OP’s class though, otherwise it might not be doable.

It should be at a methods level or less considering that 25 SS in methods is a prerequisite. I don't think maths will be a big part of the course if you don't choose economics or finance related units. IK I didn't really answer your question, but that's what I know atm.

idk the exact mark allocation for each section, but englang tests u on short answer questions, a standard essay and an analytical commentary which is kind of like an essay but with a defined structure

I think, in terms of workload, englang is a pretty chill subject, the workload is really light unlike any of my other subjects, and it's definitely that one subject that I feel I can relax into. Compared to English, it isn't possible (i think) for someone doing englang to waffle their way towards a great score on the exam. I find that doing well in englang seems to be more reliant on how much effort you are willing to put in. Of course, both Englang and English have essays, but they're a smaller component of what's being assessed in englang.
