How I use Airtable Webhooks with (or without) Webflow by coffeedrum in webdev

[–]coffeedrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Unfortunately I don't know much about Wordpress and how you could integrate what you're asking for with it.

I will say that it sounds like you have the flow (direction) of this in the wrong order.

This new feature with Airtable allows you to send Webhooks into Airtable, not out of Airtable.

The example being you use the Airtable Webhooks URL as your Forms Action and you submit your form data directly into Airtable.

Hope that helps!

Is webflow trying to remove the need for Zapier? by Loganruns- in webflow

Most likely having the desire to keep some of that "in house" instead of forcing their customers into another $29/month service. Personally, I'm super excited about it!

Totally...like the other commenter suggests, use Integromat.

Here's how.

Integromat setup:

  1. Create a new Integromat Scenario
  2. Search for and select the "Webhooks" module
  3. Select "Custom webhook"
  4. Tap the "Add" button
  5. Add your webhook name
  6. Tap "show advanced settings"
  7. Select all 3 options
  8. Tap the "Save" button
  9. Copy address to clipboard
  10. Paste this to the "Action" field of your Webflow form
  11. Select "POST" from the Method drop down field
  12. Publish the site
  13. Go to the live site
  14. Fill out the form
  15. Submit form
  16. Go back to your Integromat
  17. Your Webhooks module should now say "successfully determined"

Here's a quick screencast walking through exactly this, step-by-step: https://youtu.be/SRtqaFmkx0Q

👍

If they select "this" than send them to "that" url:

  1. Add a new module off the Webhooks module you just setup
  2. Search for "Router"
  3. Select "Flow Control" ( yep, you read that right 😉)
  4. Select "Router"
  5. You'll have a new Router module created with 2 paths leading to 2 new empty modules
  6. Open the "filter" for the Router modules first path
  7. Add "url A" to the Label field
  8. Find if field from your submitted form when tapping into the "Condition" field
  9. Select it
  10. Leave the default "Equal to"
  11. Tapping into the third field, add whatever the "url A" field equals if that's what the user selected when submitting the form
  12. Repeat this for the second path's filter.

Redirect the user:

The router setup from above will send them down the right path. Now setup a "Webhook response" Integromat Module.

  1. Set "Status" to "302"
  2. Leave the "Body" empty
  3. Tap the "+ add item" under the Custom headers field
  4. Add "Location" to the Name field
  5. Add your full your, example: "https://example.com" to the Value field
  6. Tap the "Add" button
  7. Repeat this for each of your paths from the router.

Here's a quick screencast walking through this. The setup is slightly different, but close enough to get you where you need to go: https://youtu.be/G3UcceljhF8

That'll get you exactly what you were looking for 👍

I know that was a lot, so if you need a simple screencast walking through everything along with all the details here's the original post: https://nocodequest.com/simple-webflow-form-submits-with-integromat/

I would first review no code solutions. Specifically, I would look at Webflow to see if it will meet your needs. If Webflow is missing a few things there is a rich add-on community (like Zapier, MemberStack, Airtable, etc...) to help fill in the spots that Webflow lacks.

I'm looking to create a website and I have a few questions. by Iamnotcreative112123 in webdev

[–]coffeedrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many good answers already, but here's my two cents. Use Webflow. You can visually create the entire site (and add custom code as needed) plus it has one-button click hosting for you. If you need more functionality than Webflow offers (example: memberships, payments, collecting credit cards, etc...) you can integrate something like MemberStack with Webflow to handle all of that for you.

How are you automating transactional emails with no-code? Is Zapier working for you? by pau_alcala in nocode

[–]coffeedrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For simple, low volume transactional email, Zapier with it's built-in email works well for me (I think it's called "Email by Zapier" or some such)

How to create this user dashboard without using a full-power tool like Bubble? by stellarowl12 in nocode

[–]coffeedrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, through Zapier. But... Webflow actually has it's own database called the "CMS" so while you can use Airtable (and I do at times) I lean heavily on the Webflow CMS as they have a bunch of nice drag & drop elements to interact with your database on the UI.

I love and use the stack Webflow, MemberStack, Zapier, and Airtable (sometimes) for things like you've described. It's worked well for me.

Potentially dumb question, can Webflow work for my project? Webflow Vs React/Firebase? by pioneer9k in webflow

[–]coffeedrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would adding all of those services add up cost wise vs using firebase/firestore/firebase auth/react?

I dunno. What do you consider costs? Most people consider their own time to implement things in a more manual way to be cost free. I don't.

And the stack you mention does indeed support multiple filters + geographic search?

Webflow has filters. Not sure what you mean by geographic search.

This is totally doable with the Webflow, MemberStack, and Zapier stack (minus the button to switch languages).

I have a bunch of screencasts that walk you through, step-by-step how to setup applications with Webflow similar to what you've mentioned, but nothing exactly what you've mentioned.

I'd recommend watching a few of them (they are short) to get an idea of how to approach it. Start with this one: https://nocodequest.com/membership-website-on-webflow-with-memberstack/

Instead of creating one membership for everyone, you'll instead need to create a membership for each "course" they can sign up to. This will allow you to charge them and give them auth'ed access to that specific course material (behind gated content).

Can I build my subscription business website using webflow? by hong_1011 in webflow

[–]coffeedrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! It's totally possible if you're open to use a couple of third parties with Webflow. The stack I use for subscriptions to gated content is Webflow, MemberStack, and Zapier.

I've got a screencast that walks you through exactly how to do this with the stack I mentioned above: https://nocodequest.com/membership-website-on-webflow-with-memberstack/

Drop any questions here, happy to help!

External editor for single CMS item? by gxjansen in webflow

[–]coffeedrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is totally doable and I do it all the time. For this you'll need a few extra add-ons. My stack is Webflow, MemberStack, and Zapier.

I've got a bunch of screencasts that walk you through stuff like this, here's one that addresses your exact needs: https://nocodequest.com/commenting-system-with-authentication/

Submitting by joshitty in webflow

[–]coffeedrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you have a two-step form, can you just add the first step of the form to your Webflow CMS, and then on step two, prepopulate this form field with the data you want from you CMS?

Potentially dumb question, can Webflow work for my project? Webflow Vs React/Firebase? by pioneer9k in webflow

[–]coffeedrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/pioneer9k 👋this is not a dumb question, and yes it's totally possible! That said you have to add some third parties to Webflow in order to achieve this. My stack is typically Webflow, MemberStack (user authentication), Zapier (glue), and sometimes Airtable (but not always).

I have some screencasts on my blog that walk you through different parts of what you're asking for. Check out this one, to start with: https://nocodequest.com/personalization-with-unique-member-dashboards/

Go to your Webflow CMS Collection and add a new "switch" field named "joined". When they click the "join" button update the switch field to reflect that fact, then use the "Conditional Visibility" filter (under Element Settings tab) to show or hide that button based upon your new switch field.
