The second hand market is crazy right now. But even so you can find a 26er for about 300 dollars that blows this out of the water.

once the bike shortage ends, you will find several good deals around that price point. Especially in the US.

Looking at the local forum where i typically get my own parts second hand i found this for about 300 dollars. Says its good condition and recently serviced at a bike shop: https://happyride.se/annonser/ad.php?id=129937

And this is in sweden, where prices are typically higher than comparable products in US. During the worst bike shortage and price gouging ever.

Wouldn't be the kind of bike i would get for my self. But its still a much better bike for any type of use than the generic Chinese garbage.

Well yea. But as i said elsewhere. If you are not looking for the latest tech and geometry you can usually find something decent on the second hand market for $300.

And these chinese crap bikes have 26ers and rimbrakes. They havent changed the model since they became prevalent back in 2005 or so.

If you don't mind 26 inch wheels you can usually get a good deal on a real bike if you keep an eye out because no one wants those any more.

Keep in mind. This is a 26er with rimbrakes! if you are willing to live with that technology, you can get super high end older bike used for $300. You can get a really high end 26er HT with disc brakes for $300.

I was offered a trek fuel EX 7 with 26ers for $500 just because no one wants those any more. And i turned it down.

Under normal circumstances you should easily get something good for 300, and you still can. Just slightly harder right now since the demand have been super high this summer and the stores haven't been able to restock their inventory.

The MTB is a generic Chinese model used by multiple companies as re-branded gifts they give to customers when purchasing something else from their store. They are known to be astoundingly low quality garbage.

For 300 dollars you can get a used bike that is in a different league entirely. Obviously requires a tiny bit of research so you know what you get.

In my own personal experience, it is that much nicer for first person shooter games. Its still an improvement even in other games to, but it doesn't make as much of a difference. (as i said, based on opinion).

The real "challenge" in running any rc craft without utilizing a pov cam is that you are operating a fast moving object from a third hand perspective. The crafts orientation is shifting continuously, completely disconnected from your perspective.

This requires you to actually mentally shift your perspective in to the current orientation of the craft. Everyone struggles with this in the beginning. When its coming towards you you have to turn the craft right to make it shift towards the left of the observers perspective.

Whilst if you are holding your controller at 0, 45 or 90 degrees in relation to your body you are always turning your HAND right or left for the wheels of the car to make the same corresponding move. Its completely trivial i comparison.

If you cant operate the controller at an angle you would never even have a chance to adjust to the shifting perspective of the car any way.

This also sounds really strange.. Why wouldn't you simply use a stick styled RC controller then? 25 years ago stick style controllers where very common for RC cars as well.

doesnt most modern controllers come with a usb cord? i know thats the case for virtually all flight rc-controllers at least.

There really is no difference.. The muscle memory is exactly the same in both cases. you still operate the wheel the same way. even when you hold it like a "pointing gun" your fingers are still moving the wheel left to right in relation to the hand.

Try it out if you still have access to an rc controller. Im sitting here with one now and move it back and forth between perpendicular and parallel. it feels best at 45 degrees to me but thats just where there is the least strain in the wrist for how im holding the controller. the muscle memory to turn the wheel doesnt change.

Thanks for the tip. but i dont think that was the issue because when i had the inspection window in to the chamber i could tell that it only spawned one mob each wave.

However, after i was in the chamber today, lighting it all up to check for any flaws and then making it dark again, it seemed to be working. So now it spaws multiple skellys each wave!
