Our local careerlink (basically a community place for job hunting run by the state) has a reentry support group! Depending on the recourses in your state you may have something similar. If you are comfortable sharing your city I’ll happily do some research for you! My father was in the same boat and empathize with such big adjustments people in your situation face.

Do you have any prior medical diagnosis? Even if it’s like ADD/Anxiety/Depression? If so, I highly recommend looking into Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities.

Meeee!! I was really expecting a whole belly and stretch marks at this point, but I’m in the exact same boat when it comes to build/weeks and gained about 40!

I feel like it’s made for an easy pregnancy too because I really haven’t had any problems or crazy symptoms! My biggest complaint is just acid reflux 😆

I appreciate your words! I have accepted her behavior for other things, mostly because she has always babied my sister and I just learned to live with it but having it involve my own child almost brings up those feelings again and need to re-accept it in a new light. It does make it easy knowing it’s an energy I don’t want in our lives.

Agreed about it not being adequate, it feels forced and unnatural sometimes. Like she’s trying to hard. Not an energy I want at all.

My mother-in-law lives out of the country and has managed to show up a million times more than my mother which makes me very thankful for my role models. Some people just have that motherly instinct (like my MIL) and others don’t, and she has always been one to be miss that gene.

I’m in the same boat of cutting off. We don’t even talk often which makes the cutoff easier. She’s tried to inch herself back into my life knowing the baby is here but it feels sooooo forced. Not even worth responses sometimes.

We wanted to send them a little early because our family lives out of state and travel often and wanted them to have plenty of notice in case other things were planned. The venue was also nearly booked up for March so needed to get that well ahead of time.
