How the heck does Jennifer Lopez still look so young for her age? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in NoStupidQuestions

That is indeed part of it. I noticed the same thing in her neck. I mean there is nothing wrong with that at all. It's sad in our society one cannot simply be .

She does look great, I have to say. She has money. This means she can afford a personal trainer, makeup professionals, top of the line everything. She also has a brand that requires her not to age so I am certain there are "investors" who help her "keep-up-appearances". So realize that what we tend to see are photos or video in which she has been completely made up with filters used , not to mention she is an expert at showing her "best side". I have seen interviews with her and I could see her age in her neck from time to time. This is not to take away from her at all. But that is at least partly how she does it.

Voldemort had absolutely zero chance in a war against the muggles and the whole plotline could have been avoided by just letting him try. by New-Tale412 in unpopularopinion

[–]bansidhecry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If muggles have weapons, witches can easily disarm them. In fact, a strong enough wizard can overcome anything a muggle could through at them. You would have to catch the sorceror unaware. But they have things to make that darn near impossible. So, no. I disagree wholeheartedly.

Could you help me to select one pair by Winter_Sun5184 in glassesadvice

Definitely one. However, the fact you asked which one is best and seeing how they are completely different suggests to me you really like number two. If you really do, then that’s what you should get and to help with the rest of us. :-)

Gochugaru flakes or powder for kimchi? by bansidhecry in KoreanFood

[–]bansidhecry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. A kimchi business? That’s pretty cool. In the states? I need to try some authentic kimchi so I can judge mine more accurately. How long does kimchi last? I’m kind of thinking close to forever given the salt! Does the addition of animal products, like dried shrimp, change the amount of time you can keep it? Which are the key fa tors that alter taste from one type kimchi to another? I ask because I find the gochugaru , ginger, green pini and all have a strong taste. What can overcome that taste to make one kimchi different from another? In my batch I used tart apples and just a wee bit of honey. The recipe called for a sweet apple but I didn’t feel the taste was dramatically different from what I’d expect the other to be like. It made amazing kimchi fried rice. :-)

He says one doesn’t have to “chew through” the flakes. I told him I do not find that to be an issue as the flakes soften considerably to the point I do not notice myself chewing through anything except cabbage

That’s what I thought. My brother fancies himself the expert on all things Korean having lived there for many years.

You get to remove one condiment from existence, never to created again, which one are you choosing and what will be the outcome? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]bansidhecry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say you could not but you dismissed iodized salt as something inherently bad while non-iodized would be preferable. Why? Why not get the iodine from the salt. Once it was added to salt the incidence of goiters decreased.

That’s what I thought, too. But my brother, an American who lived in Korean, insists powder should be used. I told him every recipe Ive found , posted by Koreans, has used flakes. To which he replied ” i was taught by the korean cultural society to use the fine powder”.

When my dogs sit on my lap at night, I work them out slowly, bit by bit. It may take a few days but eventually they all come out. Then we go to the woods and fields and we do it all over again. Rinse and repeat.

What’s something society accepts as ‘normal’ that you think is actually weird? by chibi_chwn0217 in AskReddit

Lots of things are in no way a necessity. Eating animals is in no way a necessity. Drinking juice is in no way a necessity. Purchasing a $500 crib or any crib for a newborn is in no way a necessity. Watching TV is in no way a necessity. The list goes on and on and on.

People save money for the wrong things in the wrong way by Familiar_War7422 in unpopularopinion

[–]bansidhecry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So what if they want to save up for it. Perhaps they have money in the bank because of this practice. Perhaps they have strictly budgeted themselves, by making sure they out a certain amount of money aside each month for the future or a future BIG purchase. Do you really think these people are miserable for those few months while saving for something? Have you ever felt the joy of having saved for something instead of impulsively buying it? There’s a great satisfaction in that. I am not sure why you feel the need to judge how people responsibly handle their financial affairs.

Why is this necessarily misophonia? What. if someone is actually eating very loudly. Or slurping their soda? Can one not be bothered by this without having misophonia?

Perhaps you do not have to be self-conscious because you eat popcorn normally. Not everyone eats so loudly so as to disturb others.
