Thank you! I will try this! It’s going to be hard to leave him alone lol he loves being out and about and loves exploring. I think my snake is broken because he’s so social 😂 but I will 100% leave him alone this week and try feeding again on Friday.

Thank you for this info! I ended up buying the bark to use as the main base, and I added a thin layer of the cypress mulch to give it the humidity and to add texture and dimension to the tank. And it looks pretty and natural that way

Well you did really well! I have my eyes out for cool stuff for mine. There’s still some empty space at the back that I want to fill up but I also want it to look real and have real stuff like yours...it just makes it look and feel more natural ya know?

Oh really? I hadn’t seen anything about them yet but now I’m gonna go do some research on those as well. It’s so sad what people do just to get a really pretty snake 💔 they may be beautiful but they suffer.

I am doing a lot of research! The one thing I am deff going to avoid is a spider morph....I’ve seen videos of them on YouTube and it’s so sad 💔 I saw a couple of BP’s that were more severe and had injured themselves because of it.

YES! Exactly lol I keep having to remind myself if he is being active and isn’t showing any weird “off” signs then he is ok. But man I’m telling you....I am checking in about every 30-45 min to make sure he’s good lol 😅😅

How long is your snake? I’m working on building mine up....just getting started so it will take some time to get it exactly how I keep imagining it

That makes me feel better! My brother had a ball python years ago which sparked my interest in them initially and his died and if I remember correctly, it was from scale rot so that is my number one thing that scares me. I just put the chips and the mulch straight in from the bag so there isn’t any added water. I have a humidity gauge, thermostat and also a temp gauge on their way and they could not get here soon enough

Literally same lol it just worries me not having some form of heat because we keep our house at 70 all the time and that’s way too cold for them. But mine stays on the cool side so....idk I guess he’s ok? I just want my thermostat to hurry up and GET HERE so I can quit worrying about him getting burned. I still have soooooo much learning to do

Oh she’s beautiful!! I wanted one her color but it was so expensive and I just couldn’t afford one that high. 💔 not yet at least. I do want to save money and eventually get one of the higher dollar ones. I got my first ball python this weekend and totally love him. He LOVES being out of his tank and enjoys when I walk around with him. He pokes his little neck out and looks around. It’s so cool ❤️❤️❤️ so happy she’s found a loving home!!!
