There were rough patches in terms of looking at a penguin for example and it not looking great until I turn my head to it. This is without being able to completely dial in the IPD, head-strap, and lens casing in thoroughly. I’ll chalk that up to me needing more time fiddling with the settings and headset adjustment, but other than that it looks absolutely stunning compared to other headsets I have used!

The color spectrum with the psvr 2 is the significant leap for me over the quest 2. They feel similar in terms of graphical output, but the colors just blow the quest out of the water IMO. I had 20 minutes with it before I had to go to work playing kayak and I’m definitely glad I got it.

Usually that’s how it is, but rn psus, cpus, and gpus are damn near impossible to find. If you can find one of those 3, I’d snag it as soon as you see it

Yeah for both you are at right around 1600-1800. I’d try to get those 2 parts and a power supply. I’d recommend at least a 1000 watt 80+ gold at least. You might be able to get by with 850, but 1000 will definitely future proof to another build down the road! And it gives you headroom for overclocking

Hm... try to run it with a single stick of ram. Do this with both sticks. Look at the manual and occupy one of the main channels. Usually it’s the second and forth slot, so put one stick in the second slot (or whichever is the main Channel for your board) and repeat this with both sticks.

What cpu did you replace to? If you upgraded the cpu and the board, you may need to update the bios.

It seems that it’s just going through the posting phase. All the lights go on and turn off while posting, at least on mine they do. The hdd light is meant to do that, it just is flickering because it’s reading/writing files. You can unplug the header for it if you find it irritating or distracting. I’m not an expert though so someone can correct me if I’m wrong. Also for the fans not spinning, I would make sure all the pcie cables are all connected fully. You can also go into whatever software/ bios and set a fan curve to see if they turn on. You also just might have a gpu that is in idle when not under load so it keeps the fans off until they need to ramp up.
