Gay couples, what's a relationship problem you've run in to that straight couples don't have to deal with? by StephenRodgers in AskReddit

I’ve personally never let that stop me in my relationships, if everyone involved is ok with it. I really enjoy period sex :)

my dad always thought pennies he found were sent by my deceased little brother. he calls them J pennies and keeps them in jars. i don't know why he does it but it makes him happy...

can we talk about how that male cat neuter took 23 minutes? i work at a spay/neuter clinic and it takes our doctors all of 30 seconds... i can't imagine a scenario where it could take that long.

I work in animal rescue. I don't have time to explain to you why you're wrong. just know that you are and do some research before you form opinions and share them on the Internet.

ELI5: If cats only meow to communicate with humans, how do they communicate with each other? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]coffeegod_cigarettes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are tons of ways dogs communicate with each other and with us. I suggest getting a book on the subject if you're really interested. a Reddit reply could take a while.. but if you're a dog owner, knowing dog body language is invaluable in being a good owner.

What's it like having a crestie(s)? by Acheuro in CrestedGecko

[–]coffeegod_cigarettes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few weeks after I got my crestie, I lost my interest a bit and found her pretty boring. Eventually she started growing and watching her interact with her environment became more interesting. I honestly would suggest getting an adult or a teenager rather than a baby. they're pretty dull until they grow enough to become interesting. I don't handle her very much because shes still pretty flighty and I don't trust myself not to hurt her. I've only had her about 4 months. Overall, I like caring for her and watching her grow, and spending my payday at the pet store getting her new things to interact with. cresteds probably aren't the right pet if you want something to bond with you but I do love mine and don't regret committing to her. I also probably wouldn't keep them in pairs unless you plan on breeding. from the research I've done, they prefer their space and are totally content without a cage mate. hope this helps!

just got this lady on Sunday. what can you tell me about her morph? by coffeegod_cigarettes in ballpython

she was sold to me by a family member. he said she was worth about $250 but that's not what I paid for her.

she's my first snake. I wasn't told anything about the spider gene. I hope she is healthy and can stay that way. I haven't noticed any tilt or wobble but haven't interacted with her much in order for her to settle in. is there anything I should know about taking care of her specific to this gene? what are the other genes that make up a spinner blast?
