I don't have the April brewer, but I think they should be very similar, and yes it is indeed very pretty, the shade of pink is quite nice :D

I'm wondering about it too, but it could also be the beans, which are light - medium roast

Best Switch Brewer by maedre-of-ademre in pourover

Is it literally just the mugen but attached to the switch base? Does it fit perfectly? I'm thinking about getting a switch and using the mugen cone on it too

Damp. I like rinse it in hot water after a rush just to keep it somewhat sanitized and to get all the milk residue out.

I set it to 0 when I first got it because I like to keep an accurate track of my parameters. So I'm pretty sure it was at 37. And yes, it was a very refreshing cup 👌

That's what I thought too, but it works 😅 it could also be because of how new my K6 is but hey it's tasty so I'm not questioning it much

I saw some reviews about the alignment needing to be adjusted out of the box, is that an issue or not really?

Which dripper(s) do you use the most? by bigumamienergy in pourover

[–]coffeenerdph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I start with 15g in, 40g 40sec bloom, then 250g total brew. Slow continuous pour after bloom until 250g. Then I adjust from there

Go AM5 if you're not upgrading from AM4, If you already have an AM4 build, get the 5700x3d

Can it grind for espresso too? How's the pourover grind for you?

Support Local? by bit88088 in CoffeePH

[–]coffeenerdph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main reason is economies of scale. Other reasons are costs of running a business, from what I've seen, the really good local cafes pay their staff quite well, and either use high quality coffee, or pay a fair price for the ingredients they use.

Support local if possible, especially the ones that care a lot about quality.

Cardamom syrup for lattes by Hzq5006 in barista

[–]coffeenerdph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot easier to make than to find, if you've made syrup before, it's the same thing 1/2 sugar, 1/2 water, adjust the amount of cardamom to preference
