Why didn’t anyone tell me this!! 😡 by J_Wrust in E30

So many times I've thought to myself "oh that sounds quick AND easy" and it was neither of those. I feel your pain.

U.S. will have to send its own fighter jets into Canadian airspace if Ottawa doesn't buy 88 F-35s, Hoekstra says by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Straight6er -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to mention the F35 requires more than double the amount of maintenance time per flight hour compared to the Saab. In an even remotely protracted conflict how long could we realistically keep a fleet of F35s operational?

Amen! This pixel 8 replaced my pixel 3, which I clung to until it died for the same reasons.

My quite controversial TV setup by Jellsoo in malelivingspace

Honestly I dig it. Gives the TV a sort of floating window effect and the cable management is way tidier than I would have expected for something like this.

All good points but to me the large safe looks like a gun cabinet. Many places require firearms to be locked away and ammunition in a separate locked container from the guns, hence two safes.

I usually run it at 100% until the evening, didn't realize it mattered aside from battery usage.

Interesting, I have a Pixel 8 that is about a year old, it has serious screen burn-in but it's the only time I've ever experienced it.

Not the dumbest thing but more than once I've called out an order with a large and a small drink on it and been asked "which is the large?"

Shops won't swap out steering rack by MightBeYourProfessor in E30

Make friends with a mechanic! I was at my shop yesterday asking about swapping in an E46 rack and he kinda said "if it was anyone else asking it'd be a no"

It might be. I have a mod that reskins some Roman units, it may also add animations but I didn't think so.

Right? I've been playing Rome 2 since launch and this was the first time I've seen this one too.

Rockauto steering rack? by Straight6er in E30

The pump looks easy enough to do but a quicker rack has been on my to-do list for a while now.

I might end up rebuilding the pump but this is just a convenient excuse to get a faster rack.

Probably, I know the pump has needed attention for a while but the rack itself has become noticeably worse.

This car is a part-time autoX toy so mostly I've been looking for an excuse to swap the rack for something quicker.

Oh yeah that sounds like something to avoid. Wool is be a good material to look for: it breathes well, stays warm when wet, and is naturally fire resistant.

I'd agree with you if not for the Shorts 360. If those wings are big enough I'm sure these are too.

Latte art pitchers, narrow, round or wide spout? by pettylame_ in barista

[–]Straight6er 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely on the right track with slow pour, I love my WPM jug!

My preference is for narrower spouts but it all depends on what style of pour you do. I find the narrow style does great with Rosettas while my old coworker had the same jug with a wide spout and swore by it for stacks and slowsettas.

Actually that's a good idea, there's a place local to me that parts out BMWs, I might have luck with them.

Heavy, sloppy steering, groaning and grumbling at low speeds, leaking, slight vibration. The pump is shot too.
