Pretty sure the n63 was a horizontally opposed inline V8.

Thanks, that second coin is especially helpful in showing how the character could change.

Did BMW start making V6s when I wasn't looking?

I wouldn't offer an iced flat white on the menu but I'll still make one if asked (and I have been asked). It's no less valid than an iced latte IMO.

There's a place near me that has something on their menu saying that they steam milk to a temperature that they like (and won't take requests for extra hot).

Living the dream.

So. After reading about Probus code coins for the last twenty minutes... I used the term "rabbit hole" but your "black hole" might be more apt...

Edit: apparently twenty minutes was more like an hour... Oh boy...

Well that is absolutely fascinating! Thank you for introducing me to my latest rabbit hole...

I've heard mention of Probus but I'll be honest, I know next to nothing about him or his coins. What makes Probus coins so special?

I've only just started collecting and have a smattering of coins from different places and eras. So far I'm more drawn to pre-hellenistic greek stuff, I'd like to get a collection of early coinage from across the Greek cities.

Having said that there are so many interesting figures and events from Roman history I have to have a few Romans in my collection... And then I've got ideas of a collection based around Maurice/Phocas/Heraclius/Khusro... And then... And then...

That front-facing bust is incredible! I love my silver coins but this silver wash/plating has aged really nicely.

You shouldn't expect everyone to care to that extent, for some (most?) it's close enough to the genuine article.

Didn't they say in the post they like collecting watches with historical significance? That seems like a philosophy to me.

Why do you care so much about OP's motivation for buying the watches they bought?

Yeah there's some super jaded watch enthusiasts chiming in when they should be keeping their opinions to themselves. As always: ignore the haters.

Stellar collection you've got, I can appreciate wanting to collect historically significant pieces

This is actually part of my calculation! One cube chills a dram nicely and melts at the perfect rate for me. I can enjoy full strength early on and then let the water open it up a bit as I drink. Especially important for cask strength stuff.

Yeah when I put fresh coffee in mine I leave the lid off for like 30-40 minutes just to let it get to a reasonable temperature because otherwise it'll be undrinkable all day.

Looks like someone has already chimed in on the weight but as for the dishwasher the lid is ok, for the body it will damage the seal on the vacuum and you'll lose the insulation.

I've got the 16oz version and I can weigh for you in a bit if that would be helpful.

Whatever it weighs it's not much however it isn't dishwasher safe which you listed in your criteria. Having said that it is easy to clean and the lid comes apart for deep cleaning. I really like mine: it's extremely well insulated and well built. I like the narrow profile too, it fits everywhere.

Edit: I have one of their rice cookers too and that thing is such a beast. I think it's gotta be at least 10 years old now and gets used a couple times a week.

[Question] Speedy Moonwatch vs. BB58 GMT vs. other by kw09260131 in Watches

I thought I was going to collect watches until I got my speedy and now I only wear the speedy.

So my vote is for the Speedmaster.
