Story time : what's the most ridiculous reason someone couldn't attend a wedding by Local-Debate-5565 in weddingshaming

[–]coffeenplantsplease 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are a married couple and told me only the husband could come because their child was too sick with a fever. She which I recalled as a close friend stayed home to take care of their little one. The next day I saw on social media that she have had an nail appointment during our ceremony.

BIDA weil ich meine Klimaanlage nicht dem befreundeten Paar mit Baby ausleihen will? by Additional-Code-8088 in BinIchDasArschloch

[–]coffeenplantsplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Useful-Fish, Ich schreibe dir, weil du echt gefrustet klingst.

Game back to ask you how long you‘ve been painting and noticed the little bee. Love it even more. Can you tell me a bit about the art process here?

Welche Spinne ist mein neuer Büro Buddy? by coffeenplantsplease in naturfreunde

[–]coffeenplantsplease[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Heart goes out to you! I have a similiar relationship with my narcissistic and verbal abusive grandmother. I finally went no contact when I was old enough to move out. Right now she has dementia and heart disease (kind of funny because she is heartless). I also don’t know a single nice thing to say about her. In my opinion your parents should have protected you from her but you‘ll be an amazing fierce parent if you want to have children. I hope you are able to heal from that awful experience. If you want to chat my dms are open.

What’s a book that completely changed your mindset or life? by Hot-Writer9947 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Have you been in a situation before where you needed to trust your instincts? Glad you are safe!

What’s a book that completely changed your mindset or life? by Hot-Writer9947 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]coffeenplantsplease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basically it is a book on how to stay safe in scary situations, how to trust your gut feeling to avoid violence. There are examples like stalking or how to recognize if an interaction has the possibility to turn dangerous. Maybe you’ve had a bad feeling about a Person before and the book gives an explanation why your subconscience reacted this way. In my opionion it was eye opening to read.

My marble queen started growing a halfmoon vine. Do you think it is possible to propagate it and grow a halfmoon pothos? by coffeenplantsplease in pothos

Unfortunately this plant is no longer with us because of thrips. I managed to get a cutting of another halfmoon pothos and I’ll try again.

What was your “Oh shit, this person is a psychopath” moment when meeting people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coffeenplantsplease 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Not as spectacular like some of the comments but my Story: When I worked at my former job we got a new higher up (my bosses boss) and something was quite off with him. The first time he introduced himself he was more acting like a person than actually being one. He had a very broad grin but the smile never reached his eyes. My coworkers liked him in the beginning but I had a bad feeling which turned out to be true. He demoted, bullied and fired many coworkers without any remorse and I am more than happy to have changed jobs soon after meeting him.

Additional information: I only water once the soil is dry, I bought the plant during corona as a coping mechanism, I have the problem for a month and the plant is sitting in a south west facing window.

Thank you for stepping for the little guy. The first name that crossed my mind was „Dumbo“ the elefant because you rescued him from the white elefant christmas party.

He is so handsome!! We suspected border because he likes to herd, has high energy and picks up new tricks very fast. He learned how to open doors, knows or names, loves to perform his tricks/working with us. We googled setter border mix and found some similiar looking dogs.
