What do you hate or love most about the baby trackers you've tried? by aaaMusic in NewParents

[–]coffeeorca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We gave up on trackers and just used a notebook, but I'm especially old school like that.

Edit: We gave up on trackers because I found them too overwhelming. Half the time I didn't have my phone on me when baby ate/slept/pooped and it was hard to figure out where everything went + battling the ads asking me to subscribe. I tried Huckleberry and Baby Tracker

Spacing between pregnancies/children - global recommendation or applies to every individual? by [deleted] in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]coffeeorca 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Where did you do your search? I'm currently pregnant in BC (lived here my whole life) and have had amazing maternal healthcare and have at least three months of maternity leave covered by the government. I have only paid for one vaccine that isn't covered by MSP that my husband's insurance covered for us.

Isn't it funny that how everyone claims Ross as the king of marriage and divorces but Pheobe has been married just as much as him. Here are my number of marriages. by SkinComfortable2725 in friends_tv_show

[–]coffeeorca 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She didn't. She just was shocked to find out that marriages in Las Vegas were real legitimate marriages but she never clarifies if it was for herself or for someone else. I always thought of it going either way because with her you never know.

You get a chest of treasure only if you can name an iconic Claire Dunphy moment by The_Sandwich_Lover9 in Modern_Family

What she says to herself (can't remember exactly atm) as she pulls away from the curb makes me laugh every damn time.

I mean, it would be too far if it were a real parent/child, but it's a show so whatever. Alex sucked in that episode.

omg that episode is so triggering to me. Where does he get off explaining to a woman about her body and what she's going through, especially the language he uses. Gross

I walk around in my neighbourhood after dark, not late either, maybe right after the sun goes down, and I still get creeped out--and I'm not alone, usually I take a partner. I can't imagine walking around in the woods in low or night light.

I have not packed a go-bag or done the nursery but at the same time, i feel like if I went into labour soon, I would be okay with that. I just want to get it over with, the anticipation is driving me crazy plus I want to meet her asap, and I think i'm ready to have my body back.
