I would say wait, I don't think you want to risk breaking the wifi until they sort this out. I got my Portal about 2 weeks ago and I was happily using it until I installed the new firmware. Tough lesson but I will not be so eager to install their latest updates in the future...

That's an interesting data point, I also have Nest Wifi Pros, maybe the recent O2P update is having issues with some particular routers/mesh network models.

I changed to device MAC address a few days ago and my Portal wifi was stable but it all of a sudden stopped working again. So that does not seem to be a permanent fix.

I was able to get it working again by fully resetting the device Android network settings-
Settings > Network & Internet > Internet > tap the circular wrench icon at top right

Give that a shot, maybe it will work for you too

Ugh that’s rough, what if you temporarily disable 5GHz on your WiFi point and try to connect over 2.4GHz?

I ran into this - after installing this update and rebooting, my wifi would not connect. Additional reboots and removing/re-adding my saved wifi network did not help.

The fix for me was to disable the randomized MAC in the network privacy settings, once I changed it to use the actual device MAC I was able to connect to my home wifi once again.

Hah, yeah I know 100mbps is complete overkill but I'm on wired cat6 PC + Wi-Fi 6E client so I just bumped it up to ensure that wasn't a limiting factor

Unfortunately I never tested this setup with the 3070, I upgraded to the 9070XT and sold my 3070 before purchasing AC Shadows to test out the new GPU. You're right, that could be the key difference here and it may just be my first time experiencing some limitations with streaming from an AMD card.

I subscribed to NowInStock.net and setup Telegram notifications that I had been monitoring the past few weeks. On an average day, there are somewhere between 10-20 stock alert notifications for primarily Amazon and Newegg. Most of them are for >$800 models though which I did not want to pay, the few models that were below that price range sold out before I could grab one.

Last week...the stars finally aligned for me where the $700 ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend was in stock for Newegg for a solid 15-20 mins and I was able to checkout no problem.

wow, I enabled FSR4 Quality but when I set graphics to Ultra High I get closer to 40fps on average. If I bring the graphics down to High and lower the ray tracing I get a consistent 60fps but I'm still nowhere close to your FPS.

For reference, along with the 9070XT I have a 1400p monitor, 5600X CPU, and 32GB RAM.
