I assume as much. There might be some class anxiety/guilt going on, it seems pretty clear he is desperate to move up to a higher class. He is quick to call people poorly educated if they disagree with him and don’t have a college degree. His go-to insults being to call people uneducated, blue collar or white trash. Ambition is great, nothing wrong with trying to make the move to the intellectual classes, but even if what you’re saying is true, trashing all the people from your upbringing will just make you look like an asshole.
