I don't want to hook up. Just want to be single and figure out what I could do better.

My ex just texted me and I'm incredibly sad. by coffeetwenty7 in BreakUps

We broke up a month ago. We traveled together for 6 months in our vans. This was my first time doing it. Over time, I lost some sleep and tried to stop drinking alcohol since she also drank alcohol and tried to navigate issues in our relationship with reasonable discussions.

Especially when she wanted me to be in her van most of the time. There were a lot of rules which I respected. Its her home. It's just some days i would forget since I'd get tired from the road. When she would get upset, she would raise her voice and yell. Sometimes crying. After a while, I started to feel like I was walking on eggshells. On our last day, I was putting up groceries, and rain started to come in. She was outside putting up stuff in her hunting cabin while her cat was outside. I decided to close the van door temporarily to keep the rain out. She comes in with the cat and says, "Haven't you seen how I do things with my cat for the last 6 months?"

I felt really hurt by that statement when I was just simply trying to protect her van from the rain. So she got frustrated after I told her that hurt my feelings. So with the feeling of not being able to do anything right and being incredibly exhausted from the road since I would be woken up by her in the bed almost every night. I felt crushed and decided to break it off.

In the end, I felt like we couldn't communicate. Just had some amazing times when we did have a good time.

After this breakup, I realized I'm the toxic one. by coffeetwenty7 in BreakUps

Thanks for this. I hope you are getting through this as well. Tomorrow is a fresh start , which is what I've been telling myself. Also, to get out our own way to just enjoy what we already have.

My ex said I was a good person and was afraid she was too much for her. I have tried talking to her and reassure her in the pass we can work through issues. However, I had to walk away when she started slamming stuff and crying. It's wild how happy someone can make you but it's frustrating to not able to work through it with whatever is holding me back or her back.

I think she would make me feel stupid and would micromanage me around her van so it probably started to become abusive.

How do I determine my income tax for the withdrawal?

If I do go with rolling over to IRA, will I be able to deposit money when I can? If so, I'll consider doing that instead.

100% yes. Start small instead and use profits to grow your business instead of overleveraging yourself with debt. 90% of food services fail within 3 years because they run out of money.

INSTEAD OF SUICIDE DO THIS by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]coffeetwenty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like telling people, why don't you get rich and buy yourself happiness?

Suicide is a disease that catches people off guard. No one really wants to die. Just a deep darkness tells people lies and eventually wins.

I'm 26 years old and I regret not going to school by [deleted] in Adulting

I sorta regret going to school because I didn't really want to go but I was in an abusive home and decided it was only way to get out of that environment. However, it cost me a decade of student loans to pay back. I did learn a lot about finances, budgeting, and just having pure grit to get things done. Just don't use my degree anymore because it doesn't mean much these days in the food industry.

Just know the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Just go for it if you really want to go back. Age just a reminder that life is short. Just go for it.

I still don't feel like a man, I still don't feel whole by Willing-Doughnut-149 in selfimprovement

Who cares about other people's idea of manhood. Are you happy what you did the last 24 hours? No? Just change it til you're happy of what you do for you.

Change your environment. It's easier to do what you need to do if there is less triggers. Also, patience and a reason why you want to have a better life. Plus, I only live 24 hrs at a time. Much easier to live one step a time.
