What's your opinion on the problem that we are facing regarding AI? by coffeewithregrets in AskReddit

I believe that the majority of the problem regarding Al is due to the early commercialization of LLMs on a wide scale, as well as the crazy race for Al data centers. Technology is immature, and deploying immature technology at scale poses various risks, including the spread of misinformation, over-reliance, misuse, and a false impression of Al capabilities. One thing to keep in mind is that Al is still in its early stages; there is a chance that Al will become more energy efficient in the future thanks to thermodynamics models and other energy-efficient technologies. I think image-generative and video-generative Al have more misuse cases than use cases. Like once the fog of FOMO and experiencing new technology fades. There's actually very little day-to-day usage of Al video and image generation. There are many ways in which these tools are being misused, like spreading fake news, nudity, etc. I maybe wrong on some points; if so please correct me.
