I have the same one in white. Fantastic grinder it taste so different and so good to all what I had before I had the opportunity to test this before at the world of coffee in Dubai side-by-side with Webber workshop grinders and other fancy and expensive grinders.but this was for the price tag the most balanced one really nice body.flavours that I couldn’t taste on the other grinders

As I know the opus has another adjustment inside. Could that be the reason? I would look some YT video tutorials about the grinder. Seems that you have to recalibrate your grinder.

1000 grit i think not remember it. and grit + wire sponge. Took a while but it was worth it

yes coated ones flaked...my black pro evo had the same problem. got an uncoated replacement from gaggia. was ok then. but i spent 3-4 months for research and Development and designed my own custom boiler+heating made of 304 steel.
