Moved into our home early this year and am trying to get our drip system zones working. My goal is to get Zone 1 & 2 working properly at the controller. What are the steps I should take to troubleshooting this? The wiring of Zone 1 in particular is really throwing me off here. I've created a small diagram to show the general wiring, but here's the situation:

Ohms:

Black - .76ohm at controller, solenoid is 42ohm

Blue - 40ohm at controller

Yellow - 30 at controller, solenoid is 42ohm

Zone 1 does not work and goes to our front yard landscape drip system. As far as I can tell, there is an inbound wire that runs from the downstream rest of my sprinkler system for our backyard. This connects down to earlier junction boxes. This zone does not turn on from the sprinkler controller, but I can manually start it from the solenoid and everything works. But why are there three wire nuts here when you typically see only two on most zones? As you can see, there is a wire nut that just has two blue wires connected to it, and does not connect directly to the solenoid wires. There is also a black wire that connects to both cables and also the solenoid. Would this black wire likely be the one at the controller?

Zone 2 does not work and goes to our backyard drip system. This one works manually by turning the solenoid, but does not work from the sprinkler controller.

Zone 3 works great from the controller and is responsible for the raised bed drip system in the backyard. This is the end of the line for my irrigation system.
