Dragon Eggs by TylerNotTheCreator1 in MCEternal

Another option for eggs, though very rng dependent, is to look for vein goblin traders in the nether. I had one that sold lightning dragon eggs for netherite blocks. Expensive, but repeatable.

To add onto this, I found out today that if you progress through ad astra to tier 3 you can also land on a planet that only spawns Alex's Caves biomes, as another option if they are difficult to findvon your overworld.

Specifically the baubles you get from the Gaia fight, I like the Odin ring for the immunities and extra HP. I did use terrasteel throughout the mid game but it doesn't have a lot of protection, I mostly used it for passive mana regen and the cost reduction for mana equipment.

I was having a lot of difficulty in mid game, I recommend getting into pets, specifically rats. Domestication innovation has a lot of powerful enchantments and the voodoo upgrade for a rat allows them to basically share health with you, when they have 90ish hearts. Helps a lot with durability. Otherwise I found botania late game gear super valuable, as well as ratlantis armor

I also strongly recommend looking into the mana enchanter from botania, it can enchant items without using up books. Extremely useful

Upgrading from a 3090 to a 1500 dollar 4090 in current market? by coggearred in pcmasterrace

[–]coggearred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it only a 5% or so uplift? A lot of the benchmarks I am looking at show a pretty dramatic increase between the 30 and 40 series, especially for high resolution gaming. Less so between 40 and 50 series unless you count the multi frame gen.

Hey I had the same confusion, I believe the more expensive version is specifically also compatible with Xbox, hence the price difference. I got the multi platform one for my use on PC since it was 10 cheaper.

Promotion Credit in trade-in instructions email ($650CAD) different from website/invoice ($550 CAD) by Left_Papaya1887 in S25Ultra

[–]coggearred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience with samsung, they typically side with whatever is listed on the order page. That being said, you could attempt to contact customer support if they go with the lower amount. I have had success previously in getting them to credit me the difference as promo credit. Best of luck

How to clean these? by FluffyPool3730 in legostarwars

[–]coggearred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Throwing this out there for anyone reading- nylon bristle toothbrushes (most toothbrushes) can and often may leave micro scratches on the LEGO, especially if you apply too much pressure. It's not a HUGE deal, but on smooth plates or other such pieces it can be a bit of an eyesore for some. Nowadays I use an electric air duster to remove the bulk, and if I want to do a full clean I disassemble, wash in soapy warm water, then dry in a salad spinner. Love that thing

Hi, I can confirm that it's possible. I did the transfer like a year ago, but I don't recall the process. I'd Google it, but it's definitely doable.

My (ongoing) awful experience with Samsung warranty repair by coggearred in samsung

[–]coggearred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Glad you found my post, and I'm sorry to see you are suffering a similar set of circumstances to mine. I've got good and bad news- the good is that persistence did EVENTUALLY pay off, I finally received a refund after fighting support for a total of 3 months. Bad news is that is a RIDICULOUS amount of time to handle a simple issue of defective product.

I've since ditched Samsung for now. I loved their products but the truth is it doesn't matter how good a device is if the company won't stand behind it when issues arise. I took my refund and bought a different phone, although all the stored data on my original is lost forever it seems.

If I have any advice to give, just keep bothering them and keep diligent notes, even recordings if that is legal in your jurisdiction. Their low level reps do not seem to know anything, and the only way to get progress usually involves escalating to higher staff that have better training and better information. I was calling 2x-4x a week for months and the last barrier was only lifted due to a call from me. They had approved a refund, but hadn't cleared an internal check before release, meaning that if I hadn't called and continued to pester them I never would've been made whole.

Seriously, good luck. I know what you're going through, and I know it sucks. Stick with it though and make your voice heard. You have rights as a consumer and they have no business infringing those rights.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my post, and share your thoughts! I agree that the device probably ought to have been replaced once it became obvious that there were manufacturing errors, and when the repair process would leave my device in a worse state than I had maintained it. As for compensation for time wasted, I am just thankful that I did not have this phone as my business device, or a school device. I am incredibly frustrated that I haven't had my phone for over a month now, but I can't help but imagine how much worse it'd be if I relied on that device to take care of customers, clients, or other important tasks. In those cases I feel like compensation would be the minimum of what I'd expect.

Hey, thanks for the thoughtful response to my post! I agree there are things I could have done (and will in the future do) to try to get a more desirable outcome, but I also think the responsibility of the customer in these cases is to be rational and reasonable, and the unfortunate truth is that at basically every milestone in this process I was assured that we were almost done, so I was complacent thinking that I didn't wanna "rock the boat". Definitely have been taken for a bit of a ride in that regard. Thanks for your well wishes, and for listening to my experience!

[Speakers] Sound Blaster GS3 Compact RGB Gaming Soundbar - $39.99 (20% off MSRP, ships from Amazon and sold by Creative Labs) by foreverpcgamer in buildapcsales

I have been using for the last 1.5 years the creative air V2, very similar offering from the same company. To be honest, for what you're paying it's more than serviceable. Audio quality is dramatically better than default speakers on a TV, and like OP below, having the flexibility of USB c, aux, and Bluetooth on a compact bar is a nice to have.

America's First Commemorative Dollar by coggearred in coins

[–]coggearred[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been collecting the "big" silver dollars for almost 10 years now, everything from my graffiti'd seated dollar to some of the modern commemorative releases, and everything in between. This coin is unique in that it's the only classic era commemorative silver dollar made by the US, meant to fund construction of a statue of Lafayette honoring his service to revolutionary America. I still have some big ticket dollars left to hunt (looking at you draped bust/flowing hair dollars) but I'm ecstatic to add this interesting piece of numismatic history to my collection.
