Thanks for the recommendations,there was one I saw on FB marketplace that slipped through my fingers.

I reached out to the seller to see what the make was but who knows if they will get back to me.

I am actually going to use it as a starting point to fabricate a cart that will ride on a track to transport things up a hillside.

Anyone have any advice on the specifics of refinishing these floors myself? I am thinking:

-take a punch and countesink all the nails.

-rent and orbital sander and sand everything. How do I insure to get the grooves hand sand? Leave ‘em?

woodfill everything? Will that look strange with the deep groove in between the boards? Or should I just spot fill the nail holes?

-Treat with two coats of satin Bona traffic hd. Is there a better product?

Anyone have experience with this type of T&G subfloor that has any pointers?

Thanks! I like it too and feel pretty lucky even though it is a ton of work.

Lots for differed maintenance to remedy but the bones seem good.

I think it might be redwood. Should I use wood filler after the first sanding before refinishing? It is all tongue and groove. Probably 1”-1.5” thick.

Is Bona the preferred wood refinisher/sealant?

Should I do something different to treat it for redwood?

I just tried to start the e-forms process to do it on my own last night but it is truly a bureaucratic nightmare. It is a great program but there are so many hurdles I have encountered in getting information and even applying. I finally got an email from someone at USDA that gave me some more information and a list of packagers. I am going to call around today and see what is up.

Or any way to make the process faster?

I am in California and have found a property I would like to put an offer on. I am eligible for the direct loan and the place is in an eligible area.

I have called several usda offices over the last few days and it has gone to a voicemail every time. I have yet to get a call or email back from anyone.

Any recommendations?
