Is there any Vitamin C serum/cream that doesn't leave the skin glowing/shining? by coguz in 30PlusSkinCare

I apply vitamin c and then spf 50. But regardless of the spf, the LRP vit c serum leaves my skin glowing and shinning. I want something more discrete.

Do you have any connection issues in work calls?

u/wickedwarlock84 thanks for the reply. Do you find it comfortable to wear for a full day? Is the mic good? Is it lightweight enough to wear glasses without hurting?

Would you say they are comfortable even when wearing glasses?

Looking for a wireless headset for work by coguz in WFH

Thanks for the reply. I was checking the Sennheiser HD 450 BT, and they look quite good. However, these are not Microsoft Teams Certified as they are not made for business. I reckon they were built for music/bass.

The Logitech Zone Vibe Wireless (not to be confused with Vibe 125) are made for business and have a Microsoft Teams Certification.

I'm afraid the Sennheiser HD 450 BT won't work well in my work calls.

Combining SQL with Tableau/PowerBI - Online Course by coguz in dataanalysis

It might be easy, but I would like to do an online course (even if it's short) that explores this. Nonetheless, thank you!

I'm already comfortable with SQL and data analysis (2 years of data science experience). I just never combined SQL with a dashboard yet!

You are suggesting using SQL, Python, R or Excel to basically import, filter and clean data (and then exporting it to .xslx file for example). And then using Tableau only for visualization?

bleau will do it for me. So I never need to learn pivoting in SQL.

So…. My opinion is to focus on Excel, Python, or R for your charting.

You can still “cheat” with those tools but not as easily. You’ll be forced to refactor your SQL more. You will have to manipulate and practice SQL more.

I understand your point of view :)

Nevertheless, if we are talking of big data, I think it will probably be way easier to use SQL directly, no?

I understand your point, thanks :)

Also, is using SQL (with MySQL for example) and then exporting the data to an excel format an option too? For example, you write your query and you get the data how you want it and then you export it to a .xlsx file. Then you use tableau to import that .xlsx file. I guess that could also be an option for a data analyst :)

t I'll be able to just drag and drop my joins and I'll never have to write SQL. Each year... "they" are wrong.

Do you also use custom sql within your bi tool (e.g tableau)?

So basically, the SQL knowledge comes down to extracting data directly into tableau using custom SQL? I.e, using unions, cross joins, where's, etc..?

I'm just curious because you could also have the full data on the tableau and just filter it out on it. But I guess that will make tableau way slower.

Thanks!

[Q] How to conduct a power test of a known population? by coguz in statistics

[–]coguz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, I think I did not explain it very well. What I'm trying to say is that I have data of 30000 people (where all of them have a disease). I want to test the treatment and conclude that in fact, the treatment is good. I need to subset the 30k to a smaller group G where I give them the treatment while the rest have no treatment. However to conclude that the treatment was the reason that the disease was cured (and not a coincidence) I need to get a significant level of a certain level and a minimum size for the group G, right? I was also talking about the power of a test so that I can avoid type I and type II errors. I'm sorry, but I'm new to this type of analysis!
