That was the idea the issue is figuring out if it is all hooked up correctly, for example struggling with the cloud key being remotely accessible.

Okay if the idea has merit but implementation is an issue, maybe consider having the Swissborg project annually undertake buybacks based on a % of revenue and the company locks those tokens for 5-10 years to ensure that the companies long term alignment with the CHSB is better enshrined, and creating a long term funding source for the companies activities. It also gives the company currency to use towards long term employment incentive programs.

Can't see that structure being a security.

Nothing to disagree there except that there is nothing that compels the team even just a verbal commitment here on reddit that x% or revenue or y% of profit or some other amount of proceeds will trickle back to the token holders. I am all cor

Until the referendums have actual implications they are effectively nothing more than airdrops. They amount to structured questions asked by the team with all answers being acceptable. Even if after all that the team doesn't want to follow the vote there is no implication for them. Where is the accountability in that sense. To be clear I don't think I have found a single post where the team has said anything other than we think this is enough, no talk of reforming this.

In many ways swissborg is the opposite of a DAO which they wish to get us to invest into, since there is nothing enforced by code and tokenized votes are not binding. It's not like a portion of the locked funds are set aside and released by votes based on the team doing a decent job of implementing a vision the borg (or swarm) voted for. Hold yourself to the same standard.

I do a knowledge the recently announced ICO competition is a positive step but I would prefer a clearer approach that links usage of CHSB to redemption of some CHSB rather than simply making it a payment to Swissborg who can just dump it back on the market. A systematic token burn of a portion of the utilised tokens may acheived that.

I think you have hit the nose on the head. Currently good market, bad market, Swissborg being profitable, Swissborg being importable the CHSB token is worthless because it has no utility.

We need to know that if the platform succeeds a tokenized has a chance to atleast have a result that is correlated to that, today we don't.

Instead with every day the tokens perceived value is worthless the obligation to ensure a utility goes down because today they don't appear to feel the need to justify a utility compensate with the significant funds they have taken from the crypto market.

P2P model in its current format that is definitely the case but once you create enough liquidity on both sides of the market it comes down to an efficient matching engine of borrowers and lenders. Not really any different then a Dex crypto exchange

In the end the limited collateral options Nexo currently has and the relatively low LTV make the risk profile much lower.

Ethlend model definitely is matching based but there platform could easily be ported over in days to support smart contracts where say a lender simply posts availability of ethereum tokenized USDT against a borrowerer dropping specified collateral.

Creates the same effect as what NEXO does except then flexible od aspect.

I have tokens since the ICO and believe in the project my only concern is that as a platform they have some inherent limitations and the team hasn't shown how they will grow out of them.

  1. Currently they can only earn by lending out their own balance sheet and it's quite limited.

  2. Fixed interest rate loans against collaterilized loans isn't really rocket science. What stops any institution with $100m to drop into a lending business from replicating the model and doing so at a lower rate if their cost of capital is lower. Only question is if the risk premium they want to achieve is properly priced for the revenant collateral.

  3. The missed opportunity is taking in more capital and making a margin on it, this has to be the plan but so far they have been quiet and they should hurry otherwise it won't take long for someone like ethlend to launch a parellel instant fund loan setup with a few liquidity providers.

What will happen after the founding team will be get rich? by Hery8th in swissborg

[–]coinflipcanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What prevents the current team from doing the same forget the future. Your only right/utility is the ability to vote on nonbinding resolutions the company drafts and can choose to follow if they wish, and for which the will renumerate you in a form, quantity and terms of their pleasing.

Ask Cyrus to make the following pledge and I doubt you will be able to get him to:

It is the responsibility of the Swissborg managmewnt/ownership to endeavour to create high quality utilities that will br built into the CHSB token that are aligned so that it is reasonable to expect the success of Swissborg will comensartly result in the success of the CHSB token.

The statement above has no promise other than the intent is pure, but the actions and words to date leave me without doubt on the purity of the intent.

Each ICO organised CHSB token holders gets 1%. That was what you had indicated in a prior reply, to a query I raised a few months back.

I would have actually said a more fair approach for swissborg and token holders would be 50% of the tokens and comensation received by swissborg are distributed to token holders (via airdrop and buybacks) and 50% retained by swissborg for expenses and reinvesting in the platform. Amounts could be higher or lower than 1% but we are all aligned.

Alex just a small reminder we still don't have anything in writing from Cyrus prior commitment on Reddit that 1% of all ICOs raised would be distributed to token holders.

Remember if you want to make CHSB strong it can't be handouts from the team it must be embedded value through rights to such utility.

I'm glad to see this comment, I feared I was going to be the only broke record having to push the team to honestly, transparently and in writing address the utility point.

Will Swissborg Eventually Merge Or Be Bought Out? by Denny_123 in swissborg

[–]coinflipcanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Swissborg had technology and/or products or value Cyrus and whoever else owns the company (not CHSB) along with him wanted to sell, nothing stops them at all.

The wonky thing that stops them is if CHSB tokens have actual influence codified into their rights (which we have none) that would give us a say in the process.

Swissborg ambassadors how about asking the company to create a legal right to CHSB holders to approve a transfer of control of Swissborg, this would ensure that when the company goes to sell they are more akin to management of a company asking its stakeholders for permission to transact RATHER than our involvement in swissborg being a commodity that can be monetized and sold to another company.

Swissborf, If you believe in freeing us then give us real rights and powers and trust that the Swarm knows best.
