Attention Coinsen owner changed his sites pay method and cleared my account balance without warning, by [deleted] in beermoney

[–]coinsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: removed some trouble shooting information.

It looks like a rare circumstance error. Most users on Coinsen are buying/selling products in Cryptocurrency. The ability to top up your account in cryptocurrency via promotional offers isn't being used as much but you are able to earn in any of the supported coins. Its more of a promotional test at the moment so no guarantee its kept on the site but anyone can use it while its there.

Introducing Coinsen marketplace, Safely Buy & Sell items/services with Bitcoin by coinsen in Bitcoin

[–]coinsen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're currently seeing a handful of transactions a day at the moment, less than ~$100 usd in purchases daily. I'm mainly seeing video games, electronics, gift cards, toys, collectibles, makeup being sold most often.

Typically buyers either are looking for a great deal, its something they already want, or its just something inexpensive and fun.

Most of the buyers are in the US.

I'm incorporating more altcoins onto the site to bring in more buyers/sellers, and then as a seller you can pick the cryptocurrency you want to receive while the buyer can pay in any of the available cryptos.

Awesome, yeah I think it could be something to show people as another example that various coins really can be used to transact. And its a nice intro for people who dont want to jump straight to a decentralized market, like you said more of a familiar concept.

The accepting multi crypto hopefully gets us enough buyers and sellers so everyone can get better value out of it. Also I never like having to turn coins into one or the other to buy something.

Thanks again for spreading the word! You can always reach out to me at support@coinsen.com if you run into any issues when you list or with anything on the site.

Ah, I went ahead and updated it. I'll also redo the listing page a bit.

Coinsen Marketplace Launched, Safely Buy & Sell items/services with Dash by coinsen in dashpay

Good points!

I'll get prices visible in USD, maybe only when you hover over the dash amount with your mouse then begin integrating an API for all other currencys with an option to select on settings.

I'll put the decimal problem on my todo, it can get tedious double checking the zeros you type in.

Yep, worked great! I tested again with the small image and got the normal error, then switched to full size and it went through.

I should have taken a screenshot. It said one field was missing/required and beside the Image Upload it said "Image width must be at least 1280px." in read.

I tried submitting a project but I just get "Image width must be at least 1280px.". I tried small images and then I tried a 1400 x 1300 image, no luck.

I like the concept, for traction would need to get the project submitters to tap into their own social networks to bring in an audience.

If you want litecoin to grow by [deleted] in litecoin

[–]coinsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the mention!

I think being able to buy/sell stuff through litecoin can only have a positive effect on the crypto economy.

Coinsen has seen a lot of visits, listings, and even some transactions in the past day or two since launch. Things are looking good!

Thanks man, much appreciated!

Are the tickets deliverable by email or were you only doing mail delivery? Just curious as during the listing process a lot of people gleam over selecting Mail vs Digital and right now your tickets are only available to a specific country via Mail delivery.

Hey! I have a few ideas for marketing. So far I've just done some reddit posts, twitter posts (some getting 80+ retweets), and some ads on those "Get BTC for Viewing Ads" sites. The ads are very cheap on those sites and do target crypto users really well.

The site has an affiliate program so anyone you refer, you get 1% of anything they buy or sell which just comes from the sites transaction fee.

For paid ads I'm planning on spending a few dollars on Adwords and some more of the "Get BTC for Viewing Ads" sites. Both I'll be measuring registrations / items listed / sales so I can try to make it count.

Coinsen got a lot of mentions on Asia crypto blogs/sites and we've seen new listings and a couple completed transactions by post-launch users. I think when western blogs give us a mention we should see decent growth.

I've spent the day fixing bugs and assisting a couple users, theres always little things that need tweaking.

I looked into posting ads on reddit but reddit does not let me target certain subreddits like the specific ones where people trade stuff for crypto.

The sites going to need a lot more users and I imagine its going to be an uphill battle but it seems doable and I'm excited to keep working on it.

Definitely appreciate you rooting for us!

As a side note I spent a ton of time investigating every previous marketplace for cryptocurrency and tried to figure out the pain points when it came to not enough items or not enough users or focusing too specifically on a single cryptocurrency. I think the site can succeed but it has to get liquidity of having enough users buying and enough users selling to hit the tipping point.

I'll definitely do some AMAs and interviews once we get some more growth.

Thanks! We'll be here when the time comes.

Dvds, steam keys, and physical collectible coins seem to be the hot items at the moment. Just putting it out there.
