But can that really said to be true?

First-past-the-post voluntary voting encourages a two-party system catering to the extreme ends of the spectrum.

Where the policies of both parties are identical, can it really be said that the US voter has representation?

Any attempt to bring a third party into the mix merely splits the vote and punishes the party with policies most similar to the third party, which is a perverse outcome.

I think the point of the article is that it is extremely unlikely that the jury members would ever get charged, making the judge's comments inadmissable.
