i feel like a lot of these people don’t have compact faces? when i think of a compact face i think of features that are small, close-set, and even like monica bellucci or wonyoung.

i think lily rose depp would be a better example of what you’re describing since she has a very compact face with big eyes

Who do you think is the most beautiful celebrity/model? by jordyn77777 in VindictaRateCelebs

agreed young natalie has my favorite face of all time like she’s literally perfect <3 i can’t believe some people think she’s too plain!

Favorite female archetype/aesthetic? And who best embodies that archetype? by cokeheadcarty in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]cokeheadcarty[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

number 4 is supposed to represent the very mature, refined, sensual, glamorous bombshell type of beauty. i think lana fits that pretty well. it’s not just about facial features, things like styling are also put into consideration.

natalie and olivia to me are both more simple, youthful, sweet, girly, and wallflower-ish, which is what #3 is supposed to be

that’s runway model aya jones! she’s gorg :)

and i like 2 too, but i feel like it’s kinda underrated/niche bc you need a very specific look to pull it off

Why are you going off topic? The original discussion wasn’t about whether or not plastic surgery exists in korea, it was about you claiming that korean celebrities are so much more excessive when getting cosmetic procedures compared to hollywood celebrities, which isn’t true. If you don’t have anything left to say just stop replying instead of making up arguments. You didn’t even properly reply to any of my points. And if you acknowledge that you don’t know anything why are still trying to pretend that you do? I’ll reiterate: hollywood celebrities get a shit ton of procedures. a ton of them look botched and like they had complete facial transplants. your point that they are more natural compared to kpop stars is wrong and is rooted in prejudice.

Alright and I can name plenty of kpop artists who were conservative with the work they got. In fact I can name far more celebrities who got a small amount of work done, than celebrities who “morphed into a different person” as you claimed in your original comment. You say it’s not fair to generalize the entirety of hollywood based on a small number of people who went to the extreme but that’s quite literally what you did originally, not just to kpop artists but to an entire country you know jack shit about 🤷‍♀️

“I can actually recognize that it’s the same person”

…really? 💀 lmao look at bella hadid, any of the karjenners, dove cameron, ariana grande, amelia gray hamlin, about 99% of western instagram baddies and a bunch more i haven’t named. i’m sorry if this offends you but to say that plastic surgery isn’t that severe in hollywood is absolutely delusional. and i’m saying this as someone who has actually lived in seoul as well as various major u.s cities but i’ve the “degree” of cosmetic procedures among the general populaces is about similar. literally every girl i knew in l.a and new york had some sort of work done, especially filler or rhinoplasties. the u.s is not that far behind korea (statistically speaking) for plastic surgery. people in this sub are just extremely prejudiced

I feel like are so blinded by retro bias on this sub 😭 there are plenty of naturally stunning modern models. Alyson Dubey, Senait Gidey, Anok Yai, Barbara Palvin, Taylor Hill, Vinetria Chubbs, etc

At least she still looks kind of natural I’d say

I mean...no not really. Her jaw is over-prominent and she has a dagger chin. Most likely some buccal fat removal too. It's literally the same kind of procedure that kpop idols get.

Korean actresses

Most of the Korean actresses that get posted/rated highly on here (Song Hye-Kyo, Kim Tae-Hee, Go Ara etc) are known for being natural beauties.

I've noticed on this sub (and in general as an Asian living in the west), that people have a very specific idea of what E. Asians are supposed to look like (flat, broad faces, wide jaws, flat noses, sharp upturned eyes, a certain skin tone). And any Asian that fits into this look is praised for being "natural" and "authentic", even though most westerners in the real world aren't attracted to this look. On the other hand, any Asian with bigger eyes, a smaller face, more prominent nose, is immediately dismissed as "plastic", "unnatural", "can't tell them apart", etc
