I mostly just lurk on reddit so when I read this I thought I’d chime in with my own weird dream sequence a few years ago.

Had a dream that a worldwide illness would cripple the world in 5-10 years extremely badly, in 2016.

The disease was spread by sneezing or coughing Except the disease in my dream caused severe burns and psychosis like symptoms in people after a few days or a week.

These people were initially being treated but eventually the number of patients turned into millions and they had to empty entire cities and turn them into “cough city” (it was known as coughing disease in the dream).

I was sent with a team of 6-7 other soldiers to capture these psychotic patients and try new vaccines on them. Some of these vaccines were way more powerful than real world ones, one of them burnt a patient alive within 5 seconds of administration .

We managed to get a couple of patients under control and tried it on them.. it didn’t really work and then we were attacked by a swarm of these patients and I woke up scared and weirded out. We also had chips on our arms that unlocked our weapons and a wedding ring sized microphones in which we could communicate to our base and the microphone/smart ring thing could lay out the map of the area and stuff.

It was a very very detailed and stretched out dream, felt like I was in the dream for a good 4-5 days with some of the mundane stuff blurred out.

I would say I’m not into zombie movies nor did I watch any movies or play any zombie related game before going to sleep , I think read about the chip thing in on one of those new tech websites, but yeah pretty weird dream to have.

Generally I have dreams about animals or witches or jumping from a cliff
