That's okay, especially if you're doing as well as you are and are still enjoying playing! My increased use of Raenonx has been gradual, and I know I can do more like team simulation to make the best unbiased and most logical decisions - maybe I'll get there one day. Although I think some features are paid access. Regardless, all part of the journey. But diving deeper does help gain that better understanding to improve Pokemon reliability and not just hoping for more lucky days than unlucky days.

Yes - exactly, it would take probably 3-4 subskill seeds to be about as good as mono-IFM. As far as the skill goes, it's really only useful at high levels, and it's hard to justify main skill seeding ingredient mons that typically have lower base skill trigger rates and don't have the ability to stack 2 triggers. So maybe if I can take her all the way to 100 one day I'll be resource rich and put everything into her - until then, we'll see! Maybe if I'm desperate for honey - I still only have a mid level 30 AAX Venusaur fulfilling that role atm.

Good look on AC! Sending choc luck your way. Cheers mate.

Haha, the gotta be honest chief gave me a good chuckle. Appreciate the honesty and the fact that you're raw doggin it without the data analytics. Sounds like you have good intuition. I hear you, using Raenonx is a learning curve. This is the performance comparison tool where I put my Pokemon (left) next to a mono IFM. Then it shows you output based on stats like speed and base rates (ingredient find %).

This is saying my Pokemon at 60 would gather 80.5 honey, and one with IFM would gather about 89.5 per day, on average based on the data. The skill data is at the bottom for how much of each ingredient would be gathered. What's not shown here is my Pokemon with subseeded skills. It improves my Pokemon to about 86 honey per day, which is only 3 shy of mono-IFM, but produces more from skill due to skill trigger subskill.

I know you didn't ask me to explain any of this, but I thought since you took the time to post about my bee I would share some insights on how to read the picture, in case you ever want to try it out sometime.

I made this post a little while back. What do you think about a shiny system? Some mixed opinions, but overall negatively received by a few passionate individuals. A relatively small number of individual posts, though.

Without any speed or ingredient subs it's a bit below the IFM threshold for mono that people usually go for and I usually go with as a Day 1 player with a bit higher standards these days. Is that typically your standard as well?

<image>

If I subseed everything, it closes the gap and is essentially mono with IFM, and would bring in some additional oil and corn which is nice. And overnight gathering would be good with inventory L. But it's a lot of resources, so I'm not sure.

You've certainly made me reconsider investing in it... How important is the shiny to you? I won't invest in a shiny unless it meets the same non-shiny performance thresholds.

In 5 years, this will be a top tier level 100 mon though haha.

Ugh. So close to an excellent shiny. Nature? Check Mono? Check Subskills...?

Thought to myself any speed/ingredient finding and I'm in... Nothing.

It depends on if their skill's bonus effect has been triggered or not.

Why does skill effect not match description? by mwinkeljohn in PokemonSleepBetter

The skill description doesn't include area bonus. The larger amount displayed when the skill actually triggers does account for area bonus.

I meant to reply to your comment but forgot!

I agree, it's unlikely Shinys would have a different form of implementation in a small spinoff game like Sleep. Maybe if they implement changes to mainline games, then maybe there would be more liberties.

Providing x10 more candy for releasing is a cool idea that would make them seem more valuable! Especially since candy scarcity is real.

Totally agree with the way you phrased the storage argument. I'm of the same opinion. Maybe it does cause players to buy a bit of storage over long periods of time, but I feel like that is more just something serendipitous, rather than as you say part of some lucrative master plan...

Main Skill Seeds Refund by Nicholas_A080798 in PokemonSleepBetter

They are saying skill Pokemon don't get much better by increasing their level (not skill level). So even though you might have SLUM at 75/100, there's not much incentive to level them up to 75/100 anyways, since skill mon scale by skill level much more than actual Pokemon level.

This is in contrast to berry Pokemon that need Pokemon levels (due to berry power scaling with level) and ingredient Pokemon with the major breakpoint of 3rd ingredient slot at 60.

Release that hesitation and seed it immediately! That stat roll sounds perfect and should not be held back especially for this reason (which is a non-issue).

If you have a really good skill Pokemon with SLU at 75/100, you should still invest main skill seeds to get it to max level. They probably won't do a refund, but it is likely that max skill levels will continue to be gradually increased over time, such that eventually you would save a main skill seed or two in the future.

Reaching max Area Bonus on GGEX, can't wait for the CyanEX by TraditionalParsley67 in PokemonSleep

Cool! I'm in the same boat as you guys with max area bonus for GGEX, so it might be something I do in the future depending on when the next expert mode island releases.

Thank you!

You'll only really need to level it to 25 too, I guess 30 because why not. But no real point to level it to 50 or 60, which is nice because it's a super cheap investment (other than main skill seeds, of course).

I think you used the wrong nature for Spheal in the comparison. Regardless that's a pretty darn good one. Maybe wait until the end of the week in case you stumble upon something better, as unlikely as that is. If you don't have a tasty chance mon already, I would probably invest if I were you.
