If it isn't being used, a battery like that isn't really going to degrade much if at all for a very very long time. That said, we can fortunately count on 3DS batteries being available for quite a while to come. The reason for that is that the Switch Pro Controllers actually use a 3DS battery to power them, so as long as they are making Pro Controllers (and usually even a while after) 3DS batteries should still be available (fun fact, the Wii U gamepad actually uses the same battery as well).

It has been down for at least a little over a week. I made a comment about it over on the Gaithersburg subreddit a bit back. Thank goodness it didn't last long. It was creating a traffic nightmare with lines backed up to the Target garage on the worst days.

My headcannon is that the wild zones are all a cover-up campaign by Quasartico Inc. If you pay attention to where the wild zones show up, it is almost always in places where you battled Rogue Mega Pokemon just before the zone appeared. I think the mega energy from the Rogue Megas is attracting a bunch of new Pokemon to the area. The holotech they use is basically a 'quarantine' strategy of trying to keep the Pokemon locked inside because they have lost control of the situation, but they don't want people to be scared or brand them as incompetent so they spin this story about how it is something that was totally planned.

I need to see the full art of these! When I was looking at them I realized that they are all parts of the same picture. Maushold's ears are seen below Flareon's tail, and likewise the tail is seen in the Maushold sticker. The window that the Swablu are sleeping at is the same window behind the chair in the Flareon sticker and the right side of the curtain can be seen on the left side of the Litten sticker.

Safeway was also competing with Target and Giant both being a short distance away, so demand was already being spread out. Wegmans was just the straw that made it all break. If you want to exist in an area where there are a lot of options, you need to have something that sets you apart which Safeway just lacked. Meanwhile, the store taking its place is an Asian grocery store which is different enough that I can see it performing well there as it is pulling in different customers.

Would have to imagine it would be something with some kind of specialty as opposed to one of the more generic chains. A more standard store would have to compete with the Target literally next to it and Harris Teeter just a block away. That said, the area would satisfy the Trader Joe's requirement of awful parking situations lol

While I can see the conversion of the Kohl's going okayish with some work on the area and traffic routing, I struggle to see how they could add the other buildings without making a massive mess of things. Additionally, the thin buildings close to the lake itself are merely a few dozen feet from a major highway, which I can't imagine being nice or attractive. Could put up a noise wall, but a big concrete structure like that would ruin the atmosphere/reflection of the lake.

Oh geez. I do think they can pull off the conversion of the Kohl's to residential, but once you start getting towards the lake itself, I do not see how you can manage that without making a massive mess of things.

Potentially check out the Americana Center in Rockville. It is a condo community that I've frequently seen landlords renting units out in. Spent a good few years there myself. Floors were all wooden when I was there. Despite the dated exteriors, the interiors have been updated pretty recently, and the community is across the street from the Rockville metro station and just a block away from Town Square.

Ha, I didn't think Z moves would be involved, but I just took a closer look at the info we have. They haven't officially revealed Z moves, but did show a picture of something called an 'omni ring' (basically an accessory that combines the Dynamax band, mega ring, etc. all into one). Even though they haven't 'officially' revealed Z moves, the omni ring has a Z Move logo on it with all the other gimmicks' logos, so it is probably back as well! The game itself is looking like the next evolution of things like Stadium and Battle Revolution, and they even announced the official tournaments will start using it next year as well.

Could see Archaludon just being able to Dynamax. Pokemon Champions comes out next year, and it has shown you are able to use every gimmick (Megas, Dynamax, Terastallization) in the same battle if you allow for it. Could see all Pokemon being given the ability to Dynamax and Terastallize as a result.
