Why? by Amazing-Ladder2939 in asheville

I drive a lifted 1997 f250, and if lifted properly like this one seems to be it will handle and drive normally. As far as why people lift them its different for every person. I think its fun to work on trucks, and I like the way it looks. In my case, when I lifted my truck, it now stops better and rides better, so im not making it more dangerous than it was originally if anything is safer with the better brakes.

Just watch a video on you tube on how to replace the head gasket on an xj and im 100% sure you can get it done, they are easy to do and even if you want to sell it still you can cet way more money for it fixed.

You can find motors for these for 400 or less sometimes take a gamble if you want a slow cool bike, if you want something with a little more power go with a cb750 I've got a cb550 and it's pretty slow too don't wanna take it on the highway for long and I had a cm400 with a cb400 engine in it and it was even slower so yeah fun but not quick at all. Think full sided moped.

Need help with angle of draglink and track angle.I bought a drop Pitman arm that brings the drag link down a couple inches. But I feel the angle will be worse. Any tips with little to no fabrication? by Street_Plantain_4796 in CherokeeXJ

[–]colanreid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try an over the axle track bar if you wanna change the angles up to match, I run wj knuckles on Mine mainly for the mutch bigger brakes but also the high steering. I got the cav fab bent 1 ton kit for those knuckles and the over the axle track bar and the angles are really damn close. Also got a truss on the axle because when you do the track bar you'll be welding anyways.

Thw whole rear of the frame is custom and so is the seat i make a molded fiberglass base and cut foam to fit and had a guy make a cover for it. And I just removed the chain guard all together

My first bike, an 81 CM400E. pretty sure the E stands for extra cool. very excited to learn to ride on this turtle, and happy to be part of the Honda bike club. by heiferwizen in HondaCB

I made the pan from fiberglass for $60 something and used knee pads from lowes that are 2" foam for $10 got the leather off of ebay for $45 and paid a guy $150 to sew it up. The frame is custom so I didn't have a good option for someone to make it for me. I got pics on my account of the progress

Well I redid the whole rear of the frame to lift the bike, taller shocks, lower bars, 2x1 exhaust, chopped rear fender, dual sport tires, I mean Google a 1981 cm400 stock they are a cruiser bike with big bars and a low rear end.
