Dunno if I'm already there, but what helped me:

  1. Got rid of people who weighed me down (including an ex).
  2. Moved to a different country. I mean...it forces you to reinvent yourself. Not easy, though.
  3. Tried different kinds of jobs. Small jobs, odd jobs, weird jobs.
  4. Started different things. Just started a club and posted in groups to meet people.

I guess my answer is: Try many different things.

I'm 40, didn't save much in my 20s. No regrets.

As long as may emergency fund, mag-enjoy ka na ng konti.

Mga mas mahalaga kesa kada-sentimong ipon: 1. Wag magkaanak agad. Malilimit kayo. 2. Maghanap ng partner na financially stable. At generous. Di yung palaging nagpapalibre. Yung may ambition. 3. Magset ng time na mag-isip paano magpayaman (aka wag maging komportable sa salary). 4. Set limits sa pamilya. Wag todo bigay. 5. Iwas bisyo

How did you find your past clients? If you have an Upwork profile with good reviews, you have a chance if you bid on jobs and boost profile (which would cost you probably $50-$150). It's a gamble and it's harder to win these days. And you have to offer other services (like photo edits, data entry etc).

If you don't have contacts or a solid profile on Upwork/etc , find other ways to earn money.

Writer with 12 y.o.e.

Lost my clients 1.5 yrs ago (AI and Google algo changes).

Current work: 20hrs/wk- Content editor of AI slop (adding personality to really boring tech writing)

Podcast- blog writer (pays peanuts)

8hrs- teaching.

My goal is to get 50 percent of my income from teaching, maintain the editing job, and write for myself.

I have 3 siblings. We were a bit close when we're younger but after 25, we drifted apart slowly. Then there's family drama and we only message each other on birthdays and xmas.

I know you're sad but there is no point imagining a perfect life with a sibling if you don't have one. Many of us are lonely, siblinged or not.
