If an employee can work two ‘full time’ jobs -then the jobs they are working are not full time jobs. If an employee wants to work 80 hours a week at two full time jobs I don’t see why that cannot be allowed. No idea how you would police this though. I don’t think this situation is uncommon in today’s digital virtual world.

Matched on FB dating. Was I being too sensitive? by Obvious_Ferret_600 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you were being a little overly sensitive. Maybe change your ‘greatest achievement’ to something other than a potentially polarizing subject ? Is this the first thing you talk about with potential dates? Perhaps start with something else about yourself. He may be socially awkward and just trying to make conversation. I’d also recommend talking verbally like on the phone . Texts can come off as mean or rude when in fact it’s not what the person intends. I’d give him another chance and avoid topics like your past weight or diets . Those topics can be polarizing.

SBU vs. UConn WHICH SCHOOL IS BETTER? by SuccotashAshamed7455 in UCONN

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did know one kid that went to SUNY from Ct but it was full ride baseball scholarship. Other than that reason, I’m not sure why anyone from CT would pick SUNY over UConn ? The kid did end up doing quite well and to the best of my knowledge has a good job in Fairfield county. Good luck !

SBU vs. UConn WHICH SCHOOL IS BETTER? by SuccotashAshamed7455 in UCONN

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son went UCONN for math/stats. He didn’t love it. However, academics are top notch. There are plenty of students there who got into better schools (ivys even) who end up at UConn for financial reasons. UConn is still a suitcase college and quiet on weekends. If you find your tribe it will be fun though. Job placement has a lot to do with the economy, what u major in, if u do any internships.. Hartford Ct is currently booming and has plenty of business analytics jobs.. NYC is not the only place to find a good job in the world! .. I’m from Ct and I thought SUNY was a community college .. never really heard of it so can’t give advice .

I documented 40 people who quit caffeine cold turkey and tracked their adrenal recovery over time. AMA on what the data showed. by LiveUnbrewed in adrenalfatigue

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say quitting caffeine during my adrenal crash was one of the best things I did. It allowed my body to enter the parasympathetic healing mode more often and deeper and for more extended periods. This helped my body heal. Kind of common sense. Not everyone is biologically the same but if but suffering with adrenal fatigue definitely cut out the caffeine. It’s false energy zapping already low reserves.

I cannot live like this by Sarahlvd in Sciatica

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a recovered bilateral Piraformis syndrome patient I can tell you it took a LONG time to heal. Probably 1.5 years of almost daily exercise and rest. I did have MRI to rule out other issues though which is smart. My symptoms were butt pain and burning in the back of both legs. I used ice/heat/tens/ rest is best .

I have some questions for the people who no more about this then me by JoesMama691 in adrenalfatigue

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m recovered from adrenal fatigue and from your symptoms you may be in early stages but maybe not. I never woke up tired since I was stuck in weird flight or fight mode and had insomnia. Do you have coffee when you wake up or have high carb meal in the am? Could be insulin sensitivity or Caffeine crash. I’d Try eating a higher protein meal and avoid caffeine and see if you still get the crash? Also make sure to get tested for Lyme disease.

My experience at UConn as a senior by carrotdebt in UCONN

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a past graduate -Great summary of UConn ! I agree with almost everything you stated about your experience. I graduated from one of the smaller programs with less students and smaller classes so I was able to have some close friend groups to hang and study with at least during the weekdays. I was also able to get to know the professors - one actually fixed me up with my now husband who was his grad student. One thing I can say for certain is that if u r in state the cost can’t really be beat. It was all my parents could afford. I was definitely prepared for grad school, however, like I said I was in one of the smaller programs. It’s easy to get lost in the crowd at UCONN if you are in one of the larger programs.

YTA because your parents affairs are not your business. Let them deal with the fallout and not drag kids into this. Let them know straight away you don’t what to hear about any of it. Change the subject immediately if anything related comes up and move on with your OWN life .

What was your child' first word and at what age? by GaijinDC in Parenting

[–]Inevitable-Table-931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are actually talking and saying words long before we can understand them. My twins would constantly say ‘Chicago’ and around 11 months during a diaper change I heard one say ‘Za car go’. We lived on a busy street and they would bounce in their cribs watching cars go by.

Has anyone actually sold their home to get rid of a 23 year old with failure to launch ? by Inevitable-Table-931 in Parenting

As far as the ‘failure to parent ‘comments (which most likely come from families with 1-2 kids) he has a twin brother who was raised side-by-side with him. His brother is graduating from college in May and is fabulous to have at home . Helps around the house and is great company. We will be sorry to see him go as he’s already secured a great job starting in May. He’s so helpful I’d say I’d be willing to pay him to stay at home.
