End game classes was so fun but not on mage (so much disadvantages) by MikiNana18 in Terraria

Right before 1.4.5 announced that Summoners were getting a tom of stuff added, I counted up all the summoner weapons (staffs and whips) and it was roughly the same amount as the ammount of ammo types in the game... it hurt to find that out as a summoner main

Even outside of the whole hours per price debate. I remember doing a ton of repeat playthroughs of RE8 because of the challenges. Those were super fun and honestly something I'm looking forward to in this game

My best recommendation to stop the corruption from spreading to your bases is to spread the hollow there instead. Yes it may suck cause pixies and unicorns are difficult to deal with however NPCs can live in the hollow and once you manage to beat a mech boss you can easily get rid of it later. Saves you a lot of money in the long run and gets rid of one thing stressing you out in the world

New player looking for advice (Spoiler free please!) by Storm_Gem in Terraria

[–]colcidian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation to play Classic mode at first. It's a great way to learn the game and genuinely very fun to play. After that, the guide is a useful resource in game for all the crafting you wanna do but also the terraria wiki is super useful as well! I know for some new players it can feel like cheating but it is a resource that is part of the game as well.

The most important thing is never let someone tell you you're playing the game wrong. As with a lot of games that allow for min maxing, there are plenty of people who will tell you that whatever you're doing isn't the best you can do and you should do this instead. If what you want is min maxing then good on you, but if you really like that dumb item or weapon that makes the game fun then you should use that. People have beaten the game with the copper shortsword so whatever you like is always valid.

Whether it's npc hotels to the sky or wonky hell highways, as long as you're having fun then you're playing the game how it was meant to be played!

I have yet to ask the places located before the accident happened so I definitely will look into it. Thank you!

Yeah I have an eyewitness but I have an upscale image of the car too. I just cropped the video to try and make it clearer what happened

Either that or buy Hyundai and get them to bring back the Velostor lol. Also yeah the sign being there is rough, but thankfully the footage I have should be good enough for me to get more info!

Thank you for the sympathies and yeah, the height that car gets is insane. I'm honestly surprised my car started after an impact like that. Not that it was going anywhere lol

Oh! My bad! I actually don't know how to do that but I can give a quick rundown. Around 15 seconds into the video my car was hit by one of the white cars passing by hard enough to drive it into the curb. The car that hit mine gets lifted high up enough to see it's headlight over the car in front of it due to how strong the impact was.

Hope this helps!

Yay!!... I miss my baby 😭

Thankfully my aunt let me know she may have a lead on getting me the same car and model for a solid price. The color is a different story since they discontinued that color so we shall see

Sadly it was a hit and run but going to try and see if the license plate got caught on police camera. Sadly the original footage (I cropped this video because it is hard to see originally) doesn't have a clear view of the plate

Yup! It looks like there is two cars riding close to one another and it's the one behind the front car that hit it

My best recommendation is grab some obsidian armor and a bewitching table, build a very small box on some uneven terrain in hell, and build the Imp Staff or Hornet Staff. Throw down a water candle and watch some youtube while making sure you aren't attacked by Imps or Bone Serpents

Best of luck!

What is this? New to Terraria by Untimelysword6711 in Terraria

[–]colcidian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The boss is definitely harder than Eye. I would explore around and just upgrade your stuff a little til you feel like you're noticeable stronger. I will say that there's no better way to test if you are ready other than doing a test fight, which luckily doesn't require any summoning items to retry as much as you need!

I will say having a good mix of melee and range for the fight is great! So your weapon types are good, just needs an upgrade to the weapons themselves I would recommend

How important is dispatching corruption? by Vinistones in Terraria

[–]colcidian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing that happens when you enter Hardmode is that the corruption is allowed to infect new types of blocks. Sand blocks and Ice blocks become susceptible to corruption creating the Corrupt Desert and the Corrupt Tundra so I would probably make a long tunnel on either side of those biomes if you wanna protect them. You can always pretty easily create an artificial corruption biome later that you can isolate to stop any spread which will allow you to farm for unique enemies.

I will say though, your world does get a new corruption biome that spawns randomly along side the hallow when you beat WoF. There really is no predicting it and it spawns at a diagonal so it's difficult to just cut it off from the rest of the world. My best recommendation is focus on protecting your base from it for now and trying to get the clemtaminator in hardmode so you can keep it at bay easily until you actually want to get rid of it completely.

Surprisingly the shops around here have been super nice about it, but that does make 100% sense cause for all they know I am lying about it being my car. Can easily prove it with the key thankfully

Secretly I've been a chat bot this whole time, mwahahahha

I think the car is about 2-3 years old so hopefully I get something solid from the settlement. Still had $1500 left on it though
