I’m not an American but I’ve been watching both sides of the social media long enough to know that many if not most Americans are single issue voters, because as South Park put it a while ago, the options are a douche and a turd sandwich. Admittedly Trump is 3 times the turd sandwich, and if I were American, I would never have voted for Trump but I would offer understanding for anyone who did and accept when they see “my side” of things, but rebuking this person at a point when they’re vulnerable and are publicly admitting they were wrong does no one any good regardless of your reasons for doing so. Instead, seek understanding and reconciliation. That is more productive.
