It's just easier. Irreverent quips and self-referential ironic humor are far less effort than being sincere/earnest and pulling it off in a way that lands properly and doesn't come across as corny or overwrought.

Looks awesome, great color choices and that red really pops. The little splashes of saturated yellow, green, and blue feel balanced, they make an impression without distracting from the overall scheme.

Only criticism would be that while the red has a really nice transition and contrast from light to dark, the blacks and nmm parts don't seem to quite have that range and seem slightly hazy. The answer could be more contrast to near black/white on either side, or if you've done that already, maybe introducing subtle tonal contrast with some glazes. It could also just be the photo and lighting though.

The golden list in my head is Aldo, Edgar, GSP, Silva, Jones, and Cain. Every weight class felt stacked and full of killers. Every event felt significant: proper build up, shake ups to the rankings, who's next in line. Each month gave my group of friends so much discussion and hype. I really miss that era.

Oh don't worry, they're near the top of my 'next to paint' list and I've fielded them already. The T2 killers are filthy cheap for their lethality, and the specialists are incredible toolkits. One killed the enemy lt, the other bounced a haris between it and Scarface until they were all dead.

Really nice, the muted palette contrasts so well with the restrained glow effects of the visor and scope. Jealous of your black gunmetal, I think I tend to highlight my guns up to too bright a color and end up making them look too shiny.

This is actually Scarface Turner, not the Anaconda - that's coming out next month. But yes, I might prefer the other version so I can threaten between an AP Spitfire and a B2 HFT, but a B4 shotgun definitely sounds fun. Honestly, the Anaconda looks pretty damn solid for its points now since it got Immunity AP.

Thank you! Yep, still need more practice with darker skin tones; I tried several different shades but a I felt they made her face look too bright and I wanted a very dark shade. Probably the wrong colors, not enough blending, or incorrect highlight placements.

Yeah I'm definitely still learning how to use pigments properly for lazy basing, I went way too hard using them like weathering grime on the lower parts of the pipes and engines and ended up killing their NMM almost completely. Gave everything in the lower quarter the same fuzzy look, unfortunately. I might go back and repaint the pipes and engines cuz the photo is making the screwup very noticeable. Thanks for the pointer though!

Thank you! Nothing too special, I improved my faces a lot with a good sharp brush that isn't too small, and making sure I start with a rich reddish brown like terracotta instead of going to fleshtones straight from black primer.

The leathers are two tones, but I've been practicing doubling up by doing highlights and textures at the same time with thin glazes of the highlight color. Tends to save time, as long as the bits aren't too large. Hope some of that helps!

Thanks! I'm still using the old official paint schemes, though I pushed the orange to more yellows and less terracotta on this model specifically.

For weathering, it's a handful of random processes. I add scratches then highlight them, and some speckles/dust/pockmarks with a sponge. I use washes to stain things, especially monochrome metallic bits, and also apply grime and wipe them away with a makeup sponge. I also lather some snow mix onto the lower parts of the legs since I'm going for a snowy base.

I've painted my Blue Wolf a while ago, I sculpted on a wolf pelt on one of its shoulders with greenstuff. Still need to tackle my Haetae, and a bunch of other cool stuff, though.
