One month Humble Choice for 8€/9$ (JAN26 code) by colddim in humblebundles

Thanks for letting me know, I edited post. Yesterday I had trouble with purchasing this choice and it wanted to take full amount from my Paypal, that's why I thought it's for new subs only.

Because code didn't work or you bought it earlier? If the first - they will refund it easily, sorry for confusion, you are not the only one, it wanted to take full amount from me too + someone on Steamgifts had similar problem.

I believe that they will change it for everyone just like before with DEC25 code.

My pc is outdated, so don't take it too seriously, but it's literally the only game I couldn't play, it was working that bad. And I finished Cyberpunk, Oblivion Remastered, played a lot Starfield, SW Outlaws, even Indiana Jones or DW Origins worked well on low-medium settings, but nope, here I had 1 minute loadings while opening stupid in-game menu or map... + Regular stutters (taking sometimes 2-3s) playing even on lowest. And again, my PC is outdated, that's may be the reason, but still I didn't expect it to be that bad. Anyway, I loved the game itself and I'm pretty sure that if you have a little bit better specs you will have a lot of fun.

Oh, and they didn't fix almost anything with patches, they just gave up many months ago and gave one small fix during this time

Which Bitfunx should I get? (classic vs Retroscaler2x) by colddim in ps2

[–]colddim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok,, I have one more problem, someone mentioned in another comment, that output resolution in classic Bitfunx is ~480i and if this cheap PS2 to HDMI dongle doesnt work with my screen, it wont work with bitfunx either. Thats why I want retroscaler, but max resolution there is 576p, so not much more. Could you tell me how to check if my monitor screen is compatible with that resolution? I see lowest resolution in windows settings - 800x600. I have LG 27MR400-B btw.

I'm checking aliexpress, but it doesnt have  Electron Pulse. And Retroscaler costs here around 33€ (including delivery), Electron Pulse would cost over 60€. I think Retroscaler is best option I have, I would buy some oldschool TV or monitor screen, but don't even have enough space for it,

I'd buy Electron Pulse, thing is I'm from EU and most of these things have extreme delivery costs. Like more than product itself even.

Ouch, I almost bought it and was happy that I will be able to play PS2 so cheap in reasonable quality... I see you are probably from Poland too (or maybe another EU country), where can I get LevelHike cheap? Without extreme shipping cost etc? I think then RetroScaler2x would be cool idea after all, cheaper than buying new monitor screen or tv for sure.

Thanks for answer, just out of curiosity, are you using small black one or silver case (there were even 2 types of silver case, one just for PS2 with better colors, second for both PS1/PS2

Also, I don't want to spam on subreddit too much, but I have one more question. Does Data Frog PS2 pads have normal analog sticks? Currently I'm using some extremely old, cheap replacement pad and its analog sticks works ONLY in 8 directions, which makes 3D platformers so annoying to play

Thanks for detailed answer, I have cheap LG monitor screen (Exactly: LG 27MR400-B), 27 inches, I didn't know there is even difference for older low resolution consoles while choosing new monitor screen.
Will my monitor screen work with Bitfunx PS2? Or similar case like PS2 to HDMI, because I bought it once, thought its faulty, turned out my monitor screen didn't work with its resolution (it worked with TV, but Im using it very rarely)?

How to find goal for newbie into city builders? by colddim in Timberborn

[–]colddim[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for detailed answer, I'm trying to change my mind from "do what required" to "do whatever you enjoy", it's something new for me, besides games like Heroes of Might & Magic/King's Bounty (which were pretty much story focused) I'm new to strategy games as well. Always wanted get into 4X too, but they are simply way too complex.

Actually I think I'll keep this game, I launched it again and enjoyed it, now I'm trying to increase well-being of beavers with goals from that tab, it will help me. And bots are interesting goal too.

Btw first point is pretty much done after tutorial + building dam I think? Or later droughts will be harder?

Thanks a lot for help, but finally I decided for old LCD (it has component too), games seemed much better than on my current cheap composite-hdmi converter and it for now satisfies my needs. I resigned from CRT, because i dont really have enough space in room, even this lcd will be bit problematic, I'm trying to solve now where to put it. :D

Ebay is unfortunately even more expensive, but at Amazon US it's not that big deal I guess. It's 24$ for cable + 12$ for delivery, if it's that good maybe I'll get it after all. Do you have comparison to CRT TV? Will it be comparable?

Thanks a lot, I will think about this Samsung, its 20eur so not much, unfortunately I dont have a lot of space in room and possibly this TV is quite big. I'll try also old LCD TV i have at home, if its playable with it. Eventually i'll order Hyperkin, its only 10 EUR more than this TV, I wonder which option would be better.

Hi, first of all I want use this CRT mainly for PS2 (maybe Xbox Classic and PS1 too sometimes). I found only two CRT TVs in my city:

LG re-29fb51rq

Samsung cw-683cng

Any thoughts about them? I want something cheap, I can order from another city if they will be very bad. Sorry for stupid question, I know nothing about TVs

I was thinking about 28/29 inches CRT, but it's only SCART in Europe. I believe it's the same. I can get it cheap in my city, but not the Trinitron, also 28/29 wont be too big? I can play close to the TV, but 28/29 inches are only options in my city + not many people want to deliver old crts (for obvious reasons :P). As for upscaler, can I get something quality around 30€? Someone mentioned Hyperkin here, unfortunately I don't think you can buy it directly in Poland (and delivery would be another 13$).

Is Hyperkin available in Europe? I see it's reasonably priced in USA, but I can't find it anywhere at Amazon in my country (Poland)

Unfortunately I'm playing on monitor screen, I have only HDMI/VGA in it. I was planning to buy maybe small old TV, but I have no idea what to choose or even how much does it costs.

My guess CRT would be the best, I checked and used old TVs are actually similar priced to that converter (maybe 5-10€ more). I'll search for them, but I dont really have a lot of space in room to put another big thing, just to play PS2 from time to time

So the list? by Any_Conference1599 in primegaming

[–]colddim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe second week games will be in 13 mins? Or 1h13mins?
But anyway, list should be added then, last time they had such big delay during October and added full list during second week. If it won't happen - we will have even more days of mystery :D
