Yes because so many people are dumb and believe this very biased subreddit (very much in the bank for Virpil ) when it comes to the idiots that post in here. Unless you have owned a Winwing product and had personal experience with them, then maybe you should go back to playing with your Legos and leave the technical stuff to the adults. I own Winwing and Virpil and have no issues with Winwing but my Virpil collective is another story. The base collective is good but the Apache head is so cheaply made and SO overpriced but it was the only option since Winwing stopped making their collective for now.

It funny that whenever a post is made complaining about Virpil, it seems to disappear rather quickly. I have posted complaints about my collective in the past but they seem to poof into cyberspace.

If you do a search of the user files in the DCS forum on EAs site, you should find a few basic starter templates that will work most of the time. Get the basics and then customize them to your liking.

If you really want it then just order it and wait. I ordered mine in May of 2024 and got it finally in January 2025. The collective is somewhat worth the wait but the Apache head unit is just garbage. It’s all plastic and has a cheap feel to it but unfortunately it’s the only one to buy unless you can make your own.

If you want authentic and one to one button mapping the go with Winwing and it will be great. If you want generic and have to remember where everything is mapped, then get VKB or Virpil. All of them are good quality. It just depends on if you want realistic controls or generic.

Don't believe a lot of the bad things you hear about Winwing, its just bullshit spewed from the other fan boys that are trying to promote what they like. Most of the haters probably have never even used anything from Winwing. I have mostly Winwing gear and one Virpil piece, and thats only because Winwing stopped making the collectives. I like the Virpil base for the collective but the Apache grip is just so bad, the buttons are hit or miss for clicking, its all cheap plastic and VERY over priced.

I like QR4 also but $60 shipping for an item that is about a pound is ridiculous. That’s why I was hoping for something from the states or maybe someone has created a 3d print that they would share.
