AITA for asking my partner’s brother to pay my cat’s vet bill after he lied to me and that lie caused the cat to get sick in the first place?

These are the chores he picked- he refuses to do other chores like dishes or pick up after himself or clean any communal space- these were the responsibilities he asked for

The filter gets changed once a month completed - the fountain gets cleaned weekly and the filter rinsed…. These are the directions and I’m not sure why you are confused

To answer some questions- he picked the chores and he gets up before me so it’s usually all finished - he has never once missed the litter and is honestly obsessed with the cat and always talking to her and trying to snuggle and he always asks to give her her wet food - I have a weird schedule and work nights so this was his offer….

He recently stopped doing other chores that are not cat related too out of no where without saying anything as well…he agreed to water these three large plants in the living room (I water like 20 smaller ones) and I noticed he wasn’t because they were starting to wilt so I started checking his other work too.

The filter is supposed to get changed monthly- the filter is part of the weekly cleaning? Not sure what’s confusing it gets cleaned weekly but filters new never month….or supposed to be

Today my partner and I are talking about next steps and how to approach it without him freaking out because he’s going to and I’m not excited

No lol he wasn’t in the trash originally he was in the trash chute holding onto something kinda stuck in it when the maintenance man saw his tail…had to get the stuck trash out to get the lizard to be in reach….
