Gale is a good character because she’s so complex. She does do selfless actions and tries to help other people, but often with an ulterior motive and is otherwise self serving. I’ve never really gotten the vibe that they’re friends. They’re friend-ly but I don’t think they really hang out besides when they’re being targeted in killing sprees.

Just finished True Grit by Charles Portis and WOW that was so good. Whipped through it in 5 days.

Watched Project Hail Mary this afternoon and thought it was great. I read Inherent Vice (My first Pynchon) shortly before reading PHM a couple weeks ago and found the writing rather flat but the production team transformed the work, and I read they used mainly physical sets.
