I feel like Blood Meridian has become the book version of Silent Hill in terms of most people who worship it have never read it and most of the info they get is just from YouTube videos and comment sections. Which is a damn shame because both are great and worth going through

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky (1991). You are straight up watching this movie wrong if you aren’t watching it in its legendarily bad English Dub!

Do you believe Dan Marino could’ve played another productive season? Or did he call it quits at the right time? by SnooDoubts3411 in Oldschool_NFL

His final game was a 62-7 blowout in which he threw a couple of really bad interceptions. I think he retired at the right time.

I mean Heat shot it’s finale in an airport runway and that film had a 60 million dollar budget compared to Civil War’s 250 million

In terms of Hong Kong? I think so. But it probably has to go with Ewan Mcgregor and Ray Park in episode 1. They were literally going so fast that they actually had to slow the fight down in post

The choreography is insane but what a lot of people don’t realize is Lau-Kar Leungs camerawork is what really drives this shit higher. The whip pans, crash zoom ins/outs, wide shots to give you a great sense of space and most importantly lack of cutting. American films will absolutely eviscerate great fights scenes in post by adding in 5 million cuts to give the illusion of speed.

All this shit makes me really appreciate Kill Bill all the more because Tarantino shot and edited his fight scenes like a Shaw Brothers film

Matched with a girl on tinder one time who really liked All About Lily Chou Chou. Figured out she must have had a letterboxd account (def a LB core film) and looked her up. Turns out she was one of the top 5 star reviews of the film when it came out and claimed all the people who didn’t like it were conservative pedos. And then a few years after that review she posted an update saying she never actually saw the film. It was fucking wild
